. I really thought it was possible for props to create a business where they collect very good traders through their system, copy the trades, and all make money happily, and honestly. I figured this was a win-win business model.
I own a small company, we are honest, all my suppliers are honest, and we became friends. Our clients are happy, we get the best online recommendations. Our employees are part of the company, they make a share of the profit and are also glad to work with the team.
After one year with 2 props: one got busted
by the “friendly regulator” who is there to “protect us”, and pocketed all the hard-earned profits from retailers. No warning, my 20 K account disappeared.
The other one just changed its business model completely, traders were not asked, trading was suspended for 2 weeks, and people forced to close open trades.
Now they pay “instantly „when you are in profit but with their self-created “coins”
with “fluctuating value”
. First filter, then you can “convert” your coins to real money, second filter. Then it gets transferred to your home currency, next filter, then wired to your bank.
So yes, I will try to collect as much as “they allow” ASAP. transfer to my good old broker and call it a day. I would never ever recommend anybody opening a prop account.
