I was actually referring to navk's reputation and that he might be a known quantity at other firms but he didn't get that interpretation either..

I'm surprised to see E8 now offering purple trading MT5. Seems a bit unusual since they currently use there own MT5 license/platform.

I wonder if most prop firms that have their own inhouse server will move to a regulated / registered broker now to avoid getting shut down by the CFTC, especially if they are US-based like E8. I doubt any are going to register their own inhouse "broker" with the CFTC or hold $20M capital. The court case with MFF upheld CFTC jurisdiction over prop firms sadly. That's a big blow to the industry.

If anyone is trading with retail eval props anymore make sure you are checking your close orders.

I have been running analysis on multiple props testing what their server settings are and the most common thing is market orders being slipped on close with no displayed request price.

if it becomes the case that all u can trade is spot fx, then this model would only work without "consistency rules"; I trade hourly charts. there are only on average 33 fx trades a year on one pair for me as a swing trend trader (about 3,000 pips) , that means varyying my position size and risk per trade; it's very situational. there's no point to trade more than one pair because of usd correlation of every currency unless you scalp; so I can't see any firm surviving that has strict rules. this is why we see props expanding into stocks and commodity futures, although us stocks and Australian stocks are still just Usd correlated so they go up as an inflation hedge. binary options would be good if they offered them on more items and crosses but they don't on Nadex after like 10 years, still no cross pairs, and other commodities like soybean oil etc(all they have are metals, oil and natgas), and weekly expirations(It would be much better to have 2 week or 3 week expirations); that's too short a timeframe, may as well chess hustle, you'll have better odds of making money. So the result of the lack of options are either you trade futures or you trade spot fx with one pair if you trade a personal account if props don't work out. IF they're gonna be ridiculous about risking .5% on a trade versus .2% because its a good trade in your system and let's say you already made 3%, and have a problem with that, then what can you do really other than trade a personal account.

i have always got 1 pip slippage on entry and 1 pip on exit.....

Purple trading had the worst spreads on currencies when i used them on BlueGuardian. Only good thing is their gold spread better than others.

Just 5ers, FTMO seems balanced but they have more slippage than they used to now. I have 4 thinkmarkets accounts and exact same trade on all of them and there is a difference in price on my 0.01 order of 2.5 pips execution was same second. Thats just one example. Is there some sort of advantage for the prop firms in offering MT5 only like the 5ers and CTI?

Just wondering because I find it hard to believe that their clients are screaming for Meta5 over Meta4

there are no new servers sold with mt4 from metaquotes, only the old can still be used. so new servers are only possible with mt5.

a maybe possible extra advantage is that a lot of expert advisors (Mt4 programs) are not possible to use until reprogram to MT5 EA. but a half smart person can simple use a mt4 whatever broker/server and copytrade in this mt5.

I read in twitter that they may be considering relocating to czech republic (Purple was founded there as well).
it's no secret that they have that mention in their site

Who knows what will really happen, or how this will play out in terms of brokerage offerings etc..

That being said, I can understand offering MT5 over MT4, but if given the choice, to not offer both would only make sense if:

1. The broker being used only offers MT5.


2. With MT4 being phased-out soon, it might help to mitigate PR issues by not having to explain why MT4 has been dropped all of a sudden, as well as allow the firm to avoid having to migrate accounts over to MT5 after the phase-out.


3. Offering MT5-only might be cheaper, depending on how they have things set up. Certainly, it should be easier to maintain and provide support for one platform in lieu of two.


Maybe there are more reasons, but I can only speculate about these things.

Personally, I prefer MT5, although MT4 is clearly the champion in terms of indicator/EA offerings and support etc.. MT5 allows firms to offer more tradable assets, but I suspect that most brokers/firms understand that by not offering MT4, they risk losing market share to their competitors.

Ok, so regarding Apex - obviously playing games like all of them.

With first funded all was ok, now the second one I paid more then 48 hours ago, but no account number so I cannot trade....and the re-charge is of course on 15th- go figure.
