Just cannot grasp how some futures props have been around 10+ years.....was the CFTC unaware they existed? just didn't care? is it because the CFTC likes futures?
MFF just seems like such a "targeted" move by the CFTC....or was this move just to set the precedent for the future?

The snitches were probably people with other forex props.

I will add in my signature each day where I trade on sp500

after the news today, i could make my first trade in the area I was looking, something not possible on MT5 with spreads before market open.

Right....imagine if the scummy likes of Angelo, or Bespoke or Maven caused the closure of the one legit firm. Not only are they scamming folks with their bullshit firms, but also preventing them from going with a legit firm.
Definitely within the realm of possibilities, wouldn't put it past them for a second.

I think many have complained against them which triggered a CFTC action.

I think it is more likely that Oanda and Forex.com complained against MFF and urged CFTC to take action. MFF stole tens of thousands of US traders from them. I heard that they need to pay CFTC 20 million $ to keep their retail forex dealer licenses. MFF is the biggest threat to them.

If CFTC really cares about retail traders, they should have taken action against Angelo and his (four or five?) firms, because complaints against Angelo's firms should be 100 times complaints against MFF.

lol......CFTC caring about traders went out the window years ago. You are probably dead on regarding Oanda and Forex.com being behind this move.

There is a separate Apex interface connection in MultiCharts now. I just have charts with Rithmic Apex in MultiCharts and I get historical data too. Realtime I get for free.

Its a size thing. For CFTC there has to be enough size for them to consider an action. Futures firms are tiny in the grand scheme of things. I don't know much but i have heard murmurs that this was an attempt to kill the entire industry and that there are more cases lined up behind this one.

From Apex free realtime data in MultiCharts...ESZ3 DOM....It says no permission first as error message, but I get the full data anyway.

yeah it’s part of an agenda. Limit economic growth, stabilize the economy and achieve maximum employment. Basically a standstill.
Reduce consumption. Maintain the wealth of those who already have it.

However human capital can fade quickly. With an aging/sick population and a youth that sees no opportunity of becoming wealthy, things can turn south rather quick. Within 5 years if there is a demographic tipping point.

So killing forex/trading and replacing real money with conditional money(central digital currency) it for them ensures people will work, and replace the fallout. The increased capital requirements in europe is further exclusive, as very few people possess the 500 000 euro one has to have to be qualified as a professional trader so it makes it a privilegied game for rich.

Can you tell more about the rumours? Is it so they actually have to make new laws to have a case against traders? The capital requirements for signing up as a broker in U.S are already huge! What more they need..

There appear although as I said i can't confirm, there appears there is a group of folks inside the authorities who think this is one giant ponzi scheme. It was indicative in the recent response by CFTC vs MFF. However, in order to actually run a case you need at the very least a complaint. The MFF case has a competitors friend as the Whistleblower (again rumors but pretty solid ones as they dont know how to shut their mouth). I wont name them for legal reasons but you've probably seen one or two of their youtube videos and they claim unbias.

So with the whistleblower and an incredibly thin case trumped up from out of context skype messages, they thought they would give it a shot to prove mff is a ponzi.

If MFF was proven to be an unregistered RFED operating a ponzi, then everyone is done, not just MFF but FTMO and all the others. I do not think they expected as much resistance as they have gotten and so the outcome really isnt clear. My opinion is that they dont want registration, but might settle on it if it looks like their chances of a conviction are bad to avoid the wild west occurring.
If MFF were to completely win without a settlement, there will be like 500000 propfirms opening up in the US unregistered and just collecting money, obviously its an outcome that all would like to avoid including myself.

The question is who is the judge ? What kind of person he is ? What decisions on the past he made ? Because the court will decide in the MFF case, nobody else...

I just cant get behind futures prop products. Everything is more confusing by an order of magnitude and software solutions seem inferior even to an outdated Mt4 which seems to be baffling.

Kind of Pricey at $100/Month for Multicharts if you go monthly.

No if you buy lifetime. I bought lifetime license I think over 12 years ago. Then all updates are free forever. You need ONE good charting and backtesting software imho.
MT4/MT5 is not a good charting package, very limited to MultiCharts. And Metatrader has a ugly and slow backtesting routine. You can do faster and more easily on MC.

CFTC opened up a case and seem to have confused themselves if what you wrote here has happened actually.

1 .The question is they want MFF only to be out ?

2. Inthat case, they end up killing every other firm

3. Do they have guts to kill all such firms ?

4. What they are going to do if thousand more come up in case MFF is relieved ?

The best option would be to allow all with rules and regulations. ( some for name sake )
