Do you have already a strategy to get the PA at payout, 2 times per month?

Apex call it "payout strategy" but I don't mean that. I mean that we have to have a strategy to be consisten and get a payout to be a successful trader.

I just clarify because it sound bad to say "payout strategy".

The strategy I’ve always used. Don't be greedy, don’t chase price, when I’m up by a decent amount take profits and call it a day.

Not on that sense. I'm late catching Apex. You guys are already more advanced so sorry for my questions if you already said some of the things a million times.

And, yes, market is very good right know. The number of swings up and downs of 5 points in ES during the day is something incredible.
I use to trade futures in my own account so the transition to apex won't be difficult at all in terms of symbols, ticks, etc. Just need to learn about the platform because in my own account I use Multicharts.

Late too (even if I already used Apex when they started)

Can you explain me why you are moving to futures ? An anticipation of the regulatory problems that CFD proponents will be victims of or simply the desire to trade the real market, without slippage and spread ?

Second thing, why Apex and not My Funded Futures ?

As it is for the past 4-5 years I’ve traded only US indicies via CFD’s on various FX brokers. Prior to getting involved with any prop forms. I eventually opened up a futures account with AMP and actively trade that account for the past 3-4 years. I haven’t traded spot FX since then.

I know my limits and comfort zone. Intraday only, spending very little time in the market, sleeping easy at night.

MyFundedFutures is a joke. There’s plenty of established futures prop to choose from. No need to take a chance on a new one spawn from a garbage prop .

Late? I think is less of a week that everybody started to speak about it. You are one of the first in the world together with some youtuber that define himself, even with 200+ challenge bought, an entertainment trader (even if they started some couple of months before).

-90% discount on their offer that make it a very good risk-reward ratio compared to other props and if you are a scalper, futures I guess is the unique way, after we lost the good spreads of MFF.

TBH, I discovered the same exact thing. Once I began trading the indices, which were CFD's with the props, I found myself trading less and less forex. It's a manipulated market, not to mention you essentially must be, at the least, "paying attention", if not in, 24 hours per day.
I'd wake up at 3 am to see how the London open was manipulating my GBPAUD trade.....no thanks.
After trading CFD indices, natural progression was my own personal futures account.
Of course, now in light of one of the only 3 legit fx props being illegally seized by the CFTC, next natural progression is futures props.
But as Crypto has stated, regualted exchange, normal hours, not losing sleep, etc, etc.....as a bonus, they move much better as well, I can grab 50-100 points on the DOW in the same time I'm waiting to grind out 10 pips on EURUSD.

Well said, the profit I used to make in a week trading FX I now make in minutes with indices. Every day without breaking a sweat.

Yes, I literally flipped my first amp futures account (very small) in my first 3 weeks without any excessive risk.

I don't wonder if it's easy or not. I think in terms of edge. Wanting to beat a DD threshold is heresy for me but maybe rare geniuses manage it.

It's not about to be a genius, it's like in poker you just get an higher variance if you play hyper turbo tournament or turbo or tourney etc etc, all depend from your trading style, so if it is not your, and may be even mine at some point, you are just correct about the "heresy".

Variance and edge are different things. Variance measures the dispersion around the mean. When you have a significant edge, you can possibly beat the spread and the slippage and possibly minimize the variance when it is negative. With a threshold, the starting edge is so negative that even a positive variance will not necessarily be saving. On the other hand, threshold and negative variance are guaranteed bankruptcy. In the long term, on a smoothed variance, you will simply suffer the negative starting edge (threshold) with the certainty of losing. The only way to win will be to find positive edge based on prices paid and promotions. But these rarely compensate for the fees you will pay as a funded person. Obviously this can happen and you have to take advantage of it.
