AMP is a live futures account. It is not a prop firm. You have many platforms to chose from. I choose MT5, and it is netting only. I do not use a copier with them.

More intraday traders should seriously look into futures trading especially indices traders... 150 S&P mini contracts (33M position) are routinely filled 1 level deep in order book during US session. That = 7500 MFF SPY lots in a single click. Equivalent of 150 MFF U30 lots & 400 NAS lots are also possible 1 level deep... futures offers tremendous compounding growth potential.

so as you can see clearly in this pic
i was able to made 380 $ profit on live account just 1 day after i got the account
but gave back all to the market, and also went into drawdown
and during this phase i also lost my 5k live account of my forex funds without first payout and refund
which give me learning that... you need to be very patient for your 1st payout and refund

so i patiently work on this account even without any greed that i made 380 $ in just 2 days
that i want the same money back kind of attitude or thinking..
so as you can its almost 1 month completed and now i able to make just 150 $ profit
but the great thing is that i will not lose it back to the market because now i will stop trading this live account also
and place payout request on 31st august which is just 2 days ahead..

so i will get 80% of 150 $ profit + 95 $ refund may be (true forex funds account is costly, its not smart prop trader, the funded trader is very very costly)
so may be the payout will be 120 $ + 95 $ = 215 $
i am happy.. these prop firm trading will actually make the trader disciplined

Equities or Futures options?

I've infrequently traded options over the years, but I never really liked the time value deterioration aspect of options.

For US citizens, Options have a high cost barrier to enter. The choice of brokers aren't that attractive either.

Futures prop firms have been around for awhile now. TopStep being the oldest, 10+ years. There's plenty to choose from, however none of them offer MT5.

If you've never traded futures, or unfamiliar with them, then jumping on a prop firm would be as sane as lighting your bank account on fire.

This is something I try to understand yet. Im still learning of course but I did look into Options and its alternatives for my style of trading. Basically I only found QQQ to come close. Its as if it became a hype options trading "cool thing to do" as some did stats studies on it comparing it with futures and options fell way behind in profits. Then theres this fact options decay in time. No offense but like the forex world vs futures"and indices" . Forex is like a roller coaster. The volume is based on per forex broker basis probably even fake since brokers could fake those numbers, so respect to those who enjoy that and do it well with currencies.
Similarly why would anyone over complicate trading with Options if it gives less return too. Maybe its easier and more stable once you have learned it for long term trading. Thats my guess.
Anyhow just what I noticed after some years of research.
Also why is there so so few prop firms supporting Options. That is what made me truly look into it. As if its more stable profitable and thus prop firms avoid it.

In futures you have to be right about direction. In options you have to be right about direction and timing.

(although I agree with you - futures is like having an hammer, options is having all the complete tools box)

Interactive brokers doesn't provide leverage for forex to european retail customers.

Forex futures is an alternative, as well as forex CFDs. Futures are safer in terms of counterpart risk, although I prefer the flexibility of CFDs (risk of counterpart is Interactive Brokers, which is basically the same in most of forex brokers).

Apex has a futures prop offering. No idea how legit it is. Subscription model and NinjaTrader and Tradovate are the only platforms.

For those curious about futures prop firms be careful as with any investment i'll requote what someone once said and which I noticed is true as well.
Real live account: Firm makes money on profit splits so they will encourage withdrawals, the bigger the better for them.
BluSky.pro, Apteros, E2T, etc...
Livesim account: Firm makes money on subscription fees, reset fees and activation fees, they will generally delay or discourage big withdrawals with some antics.
Example : Leeloo, Apex Trader Funding, Bulenox, TickTIckTrader, etc...

Also Apex suddenly out of nowhere changed their withdrawal allowances. But they have a good reputation to give withdrawals even if I doubt they will be around for a long time since they started doing sketchy things as they did recently with withdrawals.
