I've never understood why first time unemployment figure has the impact on the dollar that it does. Firstly, it's a weekly number, not a monthly. But, it can be as little as 10k below forecast and the dollar can move massively. There are 330 million people in the US (excluding the millions of undocumented), if a couple of tens of thousands went on or off unemployment, that difference is so slight as to be statistically insignificant and literally doesn't mean anything when it comes to the economy. It's literally background noise.

Once gold breaks 2000, it's never coming back under. Just like when it did the triple top at 1000, when it broke through, it never dropped below 1000 again. If you buy physical, you are perhaps a few days away from ever being able to buy it below $2000.

Does anyone believe we will see the weekly low of 1945 again before going above 2000? I see it reaching that before ultimately going up.
