Anybody knows the MQL4 code to Enable/Disable the EA properties checkbox "Allow Live Trading" ?
The purpose is reset each individual EA after having change the Chart Symbol or TimeFrame, because switching between Symbol or TF often Disable the checkbox and thus deactivates the EA's

I know, that's what I've done for Live account and works perfectly
However, I'm testing also on Demo accounts where this options not alwaysi is available, so must access there through code.
For the "Auto Trading" Button on main frame I've the codes and can switch the general button.
In addition I have to access the Checkboxes of Individual EA properties, but can't find anything in the related documentation

It works for both live accounts and demo accounts (I use demos most of the time since I’m testing EAs).

if you need to disable certain EAs, it’s best to write it inside of the code

Yeah, some have the option, some don't.
Therefore I'm looking for such piece of code to Enable / Disable the Checkboxes within the EA's properties

I had found great indicator. I am using it for drawing analysis with hotkeys (rectangles, lines). Moreover it is useful because it saves analysis and alerts to external file in Files catalog. It has working alerts, even if you change the symbol of chart. Unfortunatelly, I have one problem with this tool: When I use Fibonacci Retracement or Fibonacci expansion line tools (with my own fibonacci levels, not default settings). The indicator saves analysis during change of chart symbol or timeframe. After that The fibonacci tools come back to default levels settings and change color of fibonacci tool to yellow. So it is quite problematically. Could somebody check the code of the indicator. (Indicator originally come from https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...cators-and-eas)

How does this indicator looks like at your chart

Cause i get nothing on my chart

Well that’s the complicated way to do it; easiest if just use if functions to do what you need inside of the source code.

Very quick example:

If(trading_is_allowed) trade;

I found an EA on the net that seems to me to be a replica or a modified version of a commercial EA.
To avoid breaking the rules of the forum, for the moment I don't attach it, but I can send it with a private message to anyone who wants to reply to this post.
It is a grid EA; I would like to know if there is anyone willing who is able to replicate the hedging mechanism and the partial closure of non-performing transactions of this EA.
All in all it seems to me simple enough even if it's beyond my programming skills.

Hello everyone, I'd like to ask a question. So I developed a trading bot and backtested it on a few different pairs. The results are pretty much the same, on eurusd it has a 40% annual profit and a 13% maximal DD, on gbpjpy it has a 35% annual profit and a 13% maximal DD.
My question is, if I run the EA on both pairs will my DD be twice as much (13% * 2) ? or will it be the same 13%?

You will have a combined maximum drawdown of 26% (both the eurusd EA and the gbpjpy EA)

Doens't help in this case.
"If(trading_is_allowed) trade" could work in some cases, however not here ... EA must trade, but when the "allow live trading" checkbox is Disable (because of switch between TF's or other Symbol) the checkbox has to be Enabled first

Ohh I see makes sense. It’s still 100x easier to do it manually. The code behind doing that is thousands of lines of code. I think the company “EarnForex” has some code just like that (search on GitHub), but if you’re newer to coding, you’ll quickly get confused (highly advanced material).
