i don't expect much upside after this latest pop to 1840 on the hourly chart

i would prefer to short these mini rallies

Closed long position 1836-1843

My daily analysis calculations are showing move to 1855 and if extended then it will go to 1885. My last trade which was short position and hit SL , i wasn't confident because H1 chart was showing pull back so stayed away from trading and entered into long position today.

I also have a Buy in, for 1845, TP set to 1850, although we might touch the 50-DMA, around 1855 today, and then get heavy rejection, and thus long daily wick, and then start descent tomorrow when Dollar and US session in back in force, as well as rate hike concerns (aka hawkishness), this is how I imagine it to play out, except if we of course establish above 1855, or 1860, seeing as we aren't breaking below 1841, yet...

Awesome, I'm thinking the same, as Gold will be reluctant to go up, except if the Dollar starts to struggle, which is not the case recently, it is just this Presidents Day that's allowing it to be bought, or the Dollar to stall/consolidate, until peeps probably start selling again later this week. Therefore hopefully it will simply touch the 50-DMA and then start lowering, I hope, as I have some shorts to take out between 1835 and 1820.
