I respect all guys and their ideas, yours, moodybot, , spzd Parisboys and yes I have seen the tread mentioned but in the latter case its way over my head I trade my own way and admit bits from other threads have played a part in my thinking I will leave my charts on in respect to TimeTells , who seems a little more polite and level headed , then make them invisible tomorrow I just do not buy into or really think the main jist of this No Hidden Agenda Thread with all these Invisible lurkers is the way forward for me So good luck and...

Hi Dave,
Something went awry this morning maybe miscommunication.
The person link Andy/Moody was referring to above was certainly NOT yourself, not even close, as there has been a long past history with that poster on this thread.
I will not drag it up & go thru it all again.

I enjoy everybody's charts including your own for sure, excellent.
I also delved into Murry Maths from top to bottom and, to me, like EVERY indi out there they are, for me, roadmaps representing past price activity.
I cannot trade from the MM Lines as a way of seeing where the next price candle will head (or any indi I mean).

Yet I do not discount anything or ANY indi available and I reckon (I have said this before lol, and definately not bragging lol, as I do not know if I would be successful with them hahaa) I could trade from any template anyone uses, any system or method of the whole 10,000 posted on FF.

BUT in the end, the trade would be based on how I perceive market behaviour & mechanics at the time is when I would trade.

If anyone reading my long winded posts erroneaously thinks I just open a chart at my preferred time and trade a winner immediately then please understand this is NOT the case. Every trade of mine requires something, and often something extra as it is discretionary ie not systematic.

Yesterday for example with GJ in a tight 90 pip range all morning I ended with an 11p profit at the end of proceedings (Asia/London only) but still got into bother with a trade intraday having to work my way out of it into profit. Thus my long held belief the larger market (LPs, big players etc) work the market based firstly on aggregate holdings (I believe they take & hold EVERY retail trade entered until its suits them to offload or ignore and do NOT immediately match my retail trade with another retail trader who just happens at the same time and for the same lot size wants the equal and opposite trade that I want and then MATCH US both together.

But these are just my thoughts only. Like the algo, MM and other thoughts that I have wrestled with in the past that all means little to me now. I trade the market in the moment from what it is actually moving & doing.

THUS, I love seeing charts, everybodys. I learn from them also.

Trade well guys.

DAVE. Why leave. Over a post or two? Mate I have taken as much sh!t in my time I'd wager as anybody on FF lol. It matters not, we chatter & we trade.
I repeat, Andy/Moody's post was (100%) not addressed to you.

Looks like Rick has deliberately misread my post but that's not unusual.

Rick, this thread is open to you.

And has been for a while.

Can you explain why Rudy is still not in the Commercial section?

Selling indicators, drawing lines on a chart then telling everyone else that lines on a chart don't work.... FFS Rick use your noddle!

When a RN is preceded by a significant H/L or S/R zone, the success rate increases significantly. Well, that is my observation.
Always learning

Guys
Who saw my over reaction to a post last night, here is the reason
I have ploughed a lone path in trying to make head or tails of Murrey Maths for a number of years and its certainty been a challenge
Along the way I have met a fair bit of , It does not work, it's a poor mans Gann, your wasting your time etc etc
Yes they may be correct BUT I have found snippets that resonate well with me , the sad thing is with MT4 I will Never be able to reproduce his method accurately
But I am hooked, good or bad
So when I spotted Moodybots post last night, I just overreacted thinking its was another basher that just does not understand the effort (may be wasted in some guys eyes) I have put in
I have been around a very long time and well aware of the many war of words that some guys, some threads have with each other, just never expected to think it had just exploded again, just after I had posted my Different approach to looking at things
After having time to cool down and a little reassurance from a number of guys that I respect ( not convinced with their Trading Methods) lol, I can accept now
that the post was not directed at me
So Moodybot would you kindly accept my apologies for miss judging the direction of your post

I would just like to add
We are in a tough game, and there are many many clued up guys, some of their methods my seem way of the mark to you, some may be too tech savvy to understand ( that's my problem) but if interested just be polite ask questions and if still not interested move on
No need in going to war with something that does not really interest you in anyway

Thanks to the guys that posted to reassure me, in their opinion that Moodybot post was not directed at me
And Again
Moodybot please accept my apologies for my rant at you

Dave

Hi Dave,

Moody's a good guy underneath, he'll have no probs I reckon.
I wouldn't dwell on it all for too long, get back to charts & trading hahaa.

1.Found snippets that resonate - is good.
2.Hooked is so/so though, hahaaa
but IF hooked lol then you better extrapolate those snippets that resonate & fine tune them to something workable.
The market cannot know that your MMaths lines are on a chart.
BUT.
Other traders might ALSO be using MMLines so watch carefully how price reacts around them and see if you can find either a buy or sell advantage there, maybe.

I had to toss the MMLines, along with many other indis I loved,
while I do still watch what the market does around Pivs & Fibs etc etc, but without expecting price to do any preorgansied something there (ie support or resist),
I just watch what price eventually DOES there.

If I remember correctly, and it was a while ago, but the best I could use with MMLines was only on the 1dy, 4hr & 1hr charts only (no smaller tf's)
and don't quote me lol please,
but again the only lines where I saw something relevant take place (either up OR down) was at the 6/8, 2/8 and of course the centre equilibrium 4/8 line.

DO NOT quote me lol, it was a good while back, so I only say this just for what its worth on your back-testing views perhaps.

all the best
Pete

The government are trying to balance their books with all the "holes" they have created with Covid loan frauds (write offs) and Liz / Kwarteng debacle.

As long as the Banks are happy , Meanwhile the poor workig classes are forgotten.

Interesting book about the struggles of being working class:

Plot:
Clearly frustrated at the refusal of his contemporaries to recognise the inequity and iniquity of society, Tressell's cast of hypocritical Christians, exploitative capitalists and corrupt councillors provide a backdrop for his main target: the workers who think that a better life is "not for the likes of them". Hence the title of the book; Tressell paints the workers as "philanthropists" who throw themselves into back-breaking work for poverty wages to generate profit for their masters.
One of the characters, Frank Owen, is a socialist who tries to convince his fellow workers that capitalism is the real source of the poverty he sees all around him, but their education has trained them to distrust their own thoughts and to rely on those of their "betters". Much of the book consists of conversations between Owen and the others, or more often of lectures by Owen in the face of their jeering; this was presumably based on Tressell's own experiences.

Ah yes, the working class. Blue collar as we call them (I was one ). Members of this class are more deserving to be the leaders than the current "elite" who most have never produced a thing in their lives and are arguably the least qualified to make the disastrous decisions they make.

Now you know what I think of policy makers and politicians. I refer to them as the parasite class.
Mark ... Either you understand or you don't, and that is that.

Murrey Math is a dynamic version of the original GANN Natural Price Levels (aka Dollar Division)
but Murrey limited his calculations to show levels of last 64 bars (original), that's what confused most traders when the levels shift to show next cycles, they think it repaints but it's not.

Thank you, you are showing the converted in me
I do not want to go into Murrey too deep as I have no ability to explain anything in a way that guys would understand
I will return your post with this as I am sure you know the rules with price in this position

ps
There are some pretty big Zeppelins
that would have to be tackled on a different scale
