I have also noticed some of the posts disappearing after a couple of hours. Not sure why.

There were some charts of the same pair but on different timeframes, not sure what I was supposed to be looking at, so answered it briefly.

Targets can also often be referred to as "liquidity pools", places where traders would leave stop orders in the market to catch breakouts, stoplosses to
prevent unlimited losses and take profit orders. I think the term " Herd mentality" was used quite a bit.

Anyhow, fake moves occur everyday to provide liquidity for the professionals to tap into, we just have to be clever to spot them.

{quote} Hi turnip, well done hahaaa. I should clarify that for me, Zepps and levels, well they are observations (one building, with the other set in concrete). So, essentially I am considering trading at two junctions. One where price is doing "nothing" (ie dormant, inflection waiting to breakout which can take varying amounts of time not a set number of candles for example) The other when price is doing "something larger than usual" (ie HAS broken out with a logical target on the horizon of 'enough' pips to risk a DD for, or AFTER the end of a...

Here's the GJ on simple levels. I've taken Shabs idea of using a 30 minute and move down to 5 minute execution. Gave a nice short.

So many theories of "pools" etc. Sometimes/often, just putting in your levels and standing in front of them, hoping to get run over is better than all the math's, triangulation/strangulation, gaps and other dark arts. I prefer "simple" lines and "zeppelins" cos I am not too smart but I can be methodical, attentive, listen and appreciative of constructive criticism.

Hi All, A very good setup that i missed. Saw it a little late. Again the TP is small but with the confluences, it was going to the target with very high probability. These setups are there nearly every session. I see most of them a bit late as i trade 1 minute timeframe and at specific times. One thing i have noticed is that it is good to wait for a retest or forming of LHs, HLs before placing a trade. With whatever i have learnt in this thread i can assure u that it is very hard NOT to chase a trade. Especially after a big candle has formed in...

Keep it up. Soon you will spot set ups just before they break. It is hard to track price hence previously drawn in levels help as you watch price react to them. Greater confidence on a re test is fine since your stake could be of a bigger size hence needing greater caution. Keep probability on your side with reasonable targets. Your 12 pips a day alluded to in an earlier post is more likely, more frequently than 60 pips a time. Good for your pocket and good for your head. That's my theory anyway and I am new compared. to many here :-)

The chart is basically a "map" for me.

I like to see where all the service stations, junctions, exits are, as well as the hazards (News Events) and

having a simple plan of where my journey starts & ends for the time of the day I like to travel.

Hi turnip, yes agree pal, keeping it simple works best for me too.
The market moves away from source, or moves back to source and that's it - what we do in the middle is our stuff.

Murrey Maths Rule Failed to make a New High after 4 Days {image} {image} {image} {image} {image} {image}

Hi Dave, love the charts pal.

I have looked at and template'ed (lol) pretty much everything made available to us.
In the end, imho, they are all roadmaps of a sort.
Trading them, at what point on the chart, what time of the day, what session etc is ours alone.

Cheers for doing the GJ as I have a reference point to fall back on.

While I don't do this 'every' day as a 'function' I always like to look back on the fibs.
Here's two charts with fibs on the prev day unbroken (yet) swings, looking mainly for equilibrium at the 50%.
This I don't believe (just in my own mind, lol) is where any liquidity etc is sitting as to me liquidity is a function of current market order activity
(stops are a different kettle of fish to me, though in essence "hard" stops which I never use are waiting liquidity should price return).

If the 'larger' market player/s are (?) working on aggregating what is in the pool that explains to me the seeming 'random' moves that go 'towards' a target line.

Whether we trade TO the target lines, from them as reversals at exhaustion or even in the middles is up to US and what suits us best imo.

anyway two quick equilibrium charts that "may" mean something to the market in its meanderings today OR NOT lol, who knows.

.

Feel free to drop a chart or two over at my house. Looked at Murrey many years ago back when there was no indicator to plot it. More work than I wanted to continue with. And I think a number of us can relate to the drive to figure out their corner of the markets.
