The file originally posted by lengendff has hard coded PERIOD_M15, so it doesn't matter on which Tf the EA is running, it always takes data from M15.
In the file I posted, we can select current Period - and the EA will take the data from the Tf it is on, or select a specific Tf, and the EA will take the data from that specific Tf.

hello everyone,

what I'm looking for probaly exist, I just need an alarm when a new candle forms in the timeframe that the screen has, nothing more. this would be easier than set an uncontable alarms in the movile phone

anybody knows where I can find it?

Hello Programmers. This is a great thread. I was wondering if someone can help with a very simple indicator. I am not a programmer so I do not know where to start. The indicator is very simple:

For a period time, or candle look back period (default 100) I would like to see two different sums counted:

1- Count how many times a candle changed direction
a. (when candle is up & it’s previous candle was a down)
- and -
b. (when candle is down & it’s previous candle was an up)

2- Count how many times a candle changed direction, and the next candle changed again
a. (When candle [1] is up & it’s previous candle [2] is down & previous candle [3] is an up)
- and -
b. (When candle [1] is down & it’s previous candle [2] is up & previous candle [3] is an down)

It would also be nice for the Date/time be displayed for where the 100 bar period started.

The three items to be displayed can either be on the chart, similar to the CandleCount.mq4 Beerrun created (attached),
or it can be in a separate window like the image I attached.

BTW, do tou want to have more than one instance of this indicator on one chart?

Anyways, this version will allow to have as many instances as there are standard Tf's:

actually, many EAs are broker sensitive , i mean not work well as most of the brokers have hidden stop loss levels
