Something has been disturbing my mind ever since the week and slightly the last part of the last week started and I keep on asking myself, “why the hell is everyone(almost) preparing to short XAUUSD?”

In my experience, once I see majority of traders all thinking one way then my spider trading senses come into play so what I simply did when I woke up today was clear out all my tech analysis on the chart and ignored all my biases especially those based on fundamentals. I’m an economist by profession and my mind is wired to be biased on fundamental analysis first then tech analysis comes second and that is how I’ve survived the markets for this long but yet again, experience has also taught me that in as much as I spend 3/4’s of my days looking at data, there are special circumstances that fly me by....I’m only human you know. There just those black swan moments just waiting to happen that you tend to glare at but you choose not to see.

so after some deep thoughts and reflections, I’ve chosen to temporarily change my short term perspective on the directional bias for XAUUSD and what I’m observing is that majority of traders who are going to short this pair are going to be taken out either today and most especially tomorrow. I’m of the thought that this pair is going towards 1805 between later on today and on Monday or Tuesday next week. This is subject to this pair failing to meet some requirements I’ve set out in my trading plan if and when a bear market is actually going to occur and such requirements are being tested as I post this. If it fails then I go long from about 1705 and I’ll let the market do its wonders. I’m looking at a fresh chart with a bearish channel on DXY and a bullish channel on XAUUSD and these two will lead me to my final decision.

I don’t know why yet but something in the markets stinks right now and it stinks to the high heavens!

Market sometimes behaves which doesn't look logical, that's how the old saying, 'market is always right'. I still believe market will return to it's normal downward course once the dust of so many different variabled settles.

Finally got my sell signal. DXY has invalidated the bearish channel and is now looking to form higher highs.

I’ll prolly keep on adding short positions till gold gets to 1570 as long as the situation remains the same.

In the meantime I’ll be listening to Ed.....lol I kinda like this song too much even if it doesn’t suit a happy environment.

This week analysis of total 6 trades.

Buy 1705 - 1706 (Misread the PA - Could have closed with nice profit)
Buy 1664 - 1680 (Fine trade but not great - Closed before 1683 resistance)
Sell 1724 - 1706 (For me it is fine trade)
Sell 1710 - 1696 (For me it is fine trade)
Buy 1717 - 1721(Little tense trade but it is ok)
Sell 1720 - 1714 (Misread PA - Could have closed with nice profit)

This is nice, good for you mate. Personally I’ve never been able to scalp like this. The trade I made yesterday I’ll probably be holding it for the next 1-2 weeks.....this needs extreme patience mahn.

choppy after the NFP report, I will try to sell from higher price levels next week or on a break of support at 1683

strong bearish pressure on gold coming into ny session. hopefully gold closes ≈1670
