- the indicator doesnt draw the graphic that the input color is for if it's set to clrnone, so set hgcolor and modecolor to clrnone and no histogram will be drawn, poc would still be there if it is given a color
- dont think it draws a value area

- those remaining lines seem to be lower poc levels, secondary peaks of volume
- the input for pricestep seems to be for the histogram, the input for modestep seems to be for these seconday peaks

- eyeballing a price chart with multiple days, noticing some days are tiny, others are large with no discernable pattern
- loading an atr(1) on a daily tf to quantify this and seeing how jagged the line is

Daily range is volatile, and by volatile I mean each day's range is erratic and the range of the ranges is also large. Judging from your pic, what you're thinking of is averages, and the averages (10-100period ma) are fairly stable.

What I'm pointing out is that, because the spread of ranges is high, in the order of 2-5x (excluding short sat/sun candles which would increase this), each day's eventual range will either greatly overshoot/undershoot any average used in forecasting it.

Now just forecasting 50% of the time too high, and the other 50% of the time too low, wouldn't be an issue if the thing being forecast has a small spread, like human height, (eg guessing human height: upper height limits of 7ft, lower end is 4.5ft, this ratio is 1.5x, imagine if the ratio was 5x, 15ft and 3ft).

Pic shows atr(1) on some majors, and a graphical impression of what I mean, the atr dots (sundays not printed) are erractic and vary in range up to around 5x. Taking any median or average means large over/under forecasting will occur constantly, even if a 10-100ma is stable within a range, the daily ranges one day to the next arent. eg you forecast a range of 90, but it ends up as 45 one day, then 270 the next, I wouldn't call that 90 as being that useful if anything's riding on it.

It's not about predicting the future, it's about it's use to inform trading decisions. Being a single number that is the average of a highly volatile and erratic range of numbers, to inform expectations on the range of any given day, I don't think is a good idea. Maybe if it was a 1/3 of the avg daily range, it'd be useful because then you'd know with confidence that any given day is very likely to exceed this so you can plan accordingly. As it is now, the unmentioned expectation with overshoot/undershoot 2x+/2x- using any average range used, I don't think it's that helpful.

  1. set SL at highest / lowest of past 5 bars
  2. move sl to BE and wait, when condition similar to 1 is met
  3. close the trade if 1 is run over

Hello great coders and and professional traders please help in adding breakout alert to the attached, when price breaks above the blue channel line and the candle closes above it a pop up BUY BREAKOUT alert is issued and when price breaks below the red channel line and the candle closes below it a pop up SELL BREAKOUT alert is issued.Thanks

its with 50 cross alert and arrows thats why its different from other stoch
