Please i need alert for the indicator at post no 53227 please someone help i do not want to re post it here its a sure one if some one can just help to add alert to it if at least it has been downloaded 54times then someone must see it as a good one, it may be an ordinary 3vertical lines but with alert it has its usefulness. Good day house,

Please is there anyone here who can help modify this indicator to show Price and Reference Line for the 2 MOST RECENT order blocks as shown in this picture.
One should also have options to Show/Hide them in indicator settings.

I have tried doing it but it seems i still have a long way to learn with MQL coding...lol

I am using an EA given to me but it it enters trades against the trend. It produces decent results until the trend gets extended and starts hitting the SL.

Is it likely if I just change the "buy" to "sell" and vice versa in the coding that it will still work, but start taking trades along the trend instead of against it.
Somehow it just seems wrong to trade against the trend as it can give some big drawdowns. Started trading it about 2 years ago. Closing trades for July 2022 amounted to £2171 but I am still down on my starting equity. I am not a coder.

Hi Slingshots1 . I have this I adapt from " i session" I think it will make your trading easier. and you don't change indicator name.

Can you kindly make the BUY color same as the respective OrderBlock color & with ability to toggle on/off the line in the indicator settings.

Also i noticed this, if i apply it to the chart, the lines and price doesn't show up at times until i switch in-between timeframes.

Thanks so much for your response i will try it ,,,,please can you spare a couple of minutes to help check the attached screenshots and peruse the extract from a pdf on 4hrs strategy called FOREX TRADERS CHEAT SHEET......page 19....., actually i have done the vertical lines to mark out the reversal areas based on the info from that strategy the only thing left is to just input alerts for each candle close highlighted with the vertical lines, with the alert tagged........REVERSAL EXPECTED ON CANDLE NO 6 ......Same alert goes for CANDLES NO.11 AND 17.Check out the extract from the strategy and if its possible kindly help with the alert issue i'

I have idea that may some one interest

1) buy when the Bank A enter
2) Sell when Bank B buy
3) Execute when overall sentiment scan positive
4) Send order in bulk and snipping gunning to the broker. Broker can not detect this order
5) Detect the absolute candle, based on my research , if the EA can detect, 100% win

Can anyone help make this indicator not REPAINTING (in a separate file). It's kind of great for Binary Options.

Secondly, help remove all the lines (including functions and code within the file) highlighted in the picture below (in a separate file). These 2 lines are extremely good for TP & SL.

Hi,

I am very new to MQL4 coding, and I have hardly scratched the surface…

I have inherited a custom indicator code and have made slight adjustments to it. In addition, I have written an EA. In it, I use iCustom function to retrieve values from the second index buffer named ExtBufferTest from within the indicator.

In the indicator there are the following properties:
Inserted Code
#property indicator_separate_window
#property indicator_buffers 3
#property indicator_minimum 0.0
#property indicator_maximum 0.1

ExtBufferTest is declared as:
Inserted Code
double ExtBufferTest[4];

Later on in the init(), buffer is initialized:
Inserted Code
SetIndexBuffer(1,ExtBufferTest);

Example of a call from EA:
Inserted Code
getCcyPairCode1 = iCustom(_Symbol,_Period,"DailyCcyOrder",1,0);

There are no input parameters for the indicator.

If I open a chart window in the metaTrader and first drag the indicator followed by EA, it all works as expected. Values from indicator are transferred to EA.
However, if I only drag EA into the chart window, the indicator is not run in the background and I get some weird value from the buffer.

If additional information is needed, I will try to provide it.
Can someone please help me with how to make the indicator run in the background.

Hi All

I'm looking for a simple vertical line indicator that will draw a line on current bar and previous bar. It needs to move with the chart as new candles form. Any assistance will be appreciated.
