dont be confused and mislead with false alerts and arrows,that both depending on running/yet open bar and HTF/MTF (higher time frames) that corresponding to the current situation of applied htf,that almost needs total bars to be completed corresponding/belonging to their HTFs - so the htf (all indicators) goes/behave like this,no way to avoid this situation - till you are using the newest nrp htf codes,

for example a indicator of H1 tf applied on M5 chart,it needs 12 bars (including the last 12th bar) to complete for final and perfect alerts and arrows

And to add on to what rikc mentioned below, your object names are all wrong(not unique). The i value is for a candle index, and the candles are in timeseries indexing. Because this part isn't even called after the first tick, this would be the next issue you encounter when you fix the loop limit.

I am trying to get and implement the same thing for 4-5 hours but not getting the result.
This looks like too much to digest for me at this time.
I dont understand what is "Checked" there?
Can you give some more details or if you can correct in the code ?

That code was just example.
It doesn't have to be "checked" or "colors"..it could be anything. You can even store strings like "EURUSD_Yellow".

Whole concept is to store you button status as you like to be as it happens and restore those values when you are switching to other TF/Chart during OnInit().


1. When Indicator initiates, you have to restore all the values stored in GV and use that value to set your button color.
this is when you switch Charts. Restore should be in OnInit()

GV should contain your last value of button colors. It could be anything you decided to use.
Use some loop to read all the values from GV and assign that value to your button.


2. You should store your values to GV.

Best way is to store as soon as you click your color selection button, but it can be any time before exit.
You can also have those code in DeInini() as that would be called just before your indicator exits.

I would be very happy if you translate my idea below to EA.

1. Grid will be EA. And I should be able to change the grid spacing.
2. No need to know the trend direction for the first trade. Just knowing that the market is trending in any direction is enough. So if you have a good indicator, you can use this indicator as a trigger. So you can use this indicator for the first order. Please ensure that I can use the feature in this item as 'enabled' or 'disabled'. If you don't have such an indicator, that's fine.
3. For example, let's say the first transaction is buy. If this first trade fails, the second trade should be sell. The Stop Lose value will only be on the first trade. And let the stop loss value of this first trade follow the price. There will be no take profit value in the first transaction. If the second trade is opened in the trend direction, the system in the fourth item (the item below) will be activated;
4. There will be a single 'take profit' point for all positions. This TP value should follow the price continuously at a certain percentage value that can be adjusted between the first transaction and the instantaneous value of the price. If possible, keep this special TP value hidden. I will show what I want to tell in this article number three with a photograph.
5. The working hours of the robot can be adjusted
6. There will be an option to close all open and pending orders when profit reaches 'x' of the principal.

1/ my mistake, I was lazy & wanted to find and delete anything with contains "Doji" in its name.
I rename so the object I create and delete are using the same name, the problem still exists I still need to change TF to see any new Doji on chart

Hey guys, I remember seeing an expert advisor (or maybe indicator) that would let you input in the buffer values of a different indicator which would trigger alerts when that value was crossed. It was basically like a universal alert since it could work with any indicator that has buffer values.

Does anybody have this? I have a bunch of .ex4 that have buffer values but no alerts integrated in them. Would be super useful.

Yes it doesnt generate alert by itself....what it does is if you have an indicator that generates any one type of alert or print alert in journal or expert tab then it forwards that alert to any type of notification like popup,sound,email,twitter,sms or some more

But as it doesnt fit your requirement there is another Alert Indicator Template from earnforex.com

This is link but in there you will have to write some lines by yourself to generate alert based on your buffer and it needs study of that first.

Hi, first time posting here, I would like to ask help regarding my scalping idea if it can be coded into an EA for mt4..

It primarily sits on m30 and executes on m5 closes. it will be placed on m30 and looks for 3 patterns,
1. m30 inside bar break,
2. m30 change direction, i.e. when candles changes directions from new high to new low (candle A makes new high, but new candle B breaks candle A's low, vice versa is true)
3. failed directional candle (example candle A makes a new low but closes green, or vice versa makes new high but closes red)

when the current candle breaks the high/low of the pattern candles in m30, it enters using the m5 candle that close above/below that level. Also important setting is that they only take trades based on daily open. if price is above daily open, then it will only look for buy setups, and when below otherwise it will look for sells. would it also be possible to have a settings for a user-defined risk in pips/points? like only enter trades when the candle range(entry to candle low) is below 20pips or 30points. another setting would be what time of day to operate, like only on London Session. lastly, all trades entered are 1:1 risk reward, no trailstops for now. either SL or TP hit

create objects named like ObjectCreate(Time[i]+" Doji"
to delete in a loop look for objects containing "Doji"
