Frankly I read that article and think that it is nothing more than a "hit piece" that the media does against any conservative candidate.

The media said the same things about Trump and Covid.

The FACTS are this - more people died after the current POTUS took office than the media predicted under Trump

OTHER FACTS that the media "PREDICTED" with Trump that did NOT OCCUR:

1. War with North Korea - there was peach
2. Collusion with Russia - Proved WRONG after 3 BILLION in investigation
3. Over 3 million Covid-19 deaths - less than 1 million before Trump left office

I could go over numerous examples of the media crying "it's the end of the world if __________ gets elected."

if you are a French citizen ask yourself one thing:

Are you better off now or when the President was elected. Then vote.

PS If you don't vote - dont' complain about the result

I don't think this will have a big effect on Euro...its purely driven by Ukraine now. And we have ECB this week...it usually spikes up during ECB, as they have no other option as to be hawkish now.

I think if Macron wins there’ll be no significant reaction but if Le Pen takes the win then Euro will fall.

However, French people may be crazy but they are not stupid. The consequences of Le Pen winning can be disastrous for Europe as the situation is already more than unpleasant. This will be very destabilizing for Europe and Putin will not miss the change to take advantage of that.

I believe and I hope the French people are fully aware of that and will not let that happen.

Round 1 so far -
Macron 28.1 percent of the vote and Le Pen 23.3 percent.

French election round 2 projected
Macron -53%
Le Pen - 47%

In my view Euro -
Macron - hawkish
Le Pen - dovish

Le Pen is supported by Putin.
Her voters support war and support split from EU, meaning destroy European Union, this will make Putin tick one of his goals.

Macron is great president. French are voting, it is their right to choose. Only knowing she is part of Putins game same way as twisted Trumps election and Brexit referendum. Promises were big in all.
Not saying voters are pro-war, saying anyone voting for Le Pen will be supporting Putins war. She respected Crimea's occupation.

Don't get me wrong I was no fan of the twitter user. I got fed up of watching the news here in the Uk CONSTANTLY reporting what the president of another country was doing that day.

EDIT : FX I pretty much repeat your post #20 here. But the end of post #19 I'm not one of those complaining as i didn't vote. I am certain ther are a decent number of "votors" who are at this time and for some period "dormant". The sole reason being they are not "daft", but have simply no one to vote for.
