USD jumping higher on the reports of Ukraine forces firing grenades, mortars

Russian state media report that Ukrainian forces have fired mortars & grenades on LPR locations (LPR is Luhansk People's Republic, located in Luhansk Oblast in the Donbas region, a territory internationally recognized to be a part of Ukraine but run by Russian backed separatists). The reports are of mortars and grenades being fired by Ukrainian forces in the LPR region. LPR is Luhansk People's Republic, located in Luhansk Oblast in the Donbas region, a territory internationally recognized to be a part of Ukraine but run by Russian backed separatists. Shooting in LPR regions is not unusual, but in this current environment sensitivity is MUCH higher. The reports come out of Russian state media ... so maybe they are accurate or maybe they are not. If they are not its probably even more ominous as it may be the cover needed for military action by Russian forces. Anyway, couch this however you ... (full story)

Regardless of the source or validity of the news, it was important for traders to understand where that sudden market movement came from. FF has a responsibility to the traders who use this website to understand the market. If news exclusively coming out of Russian media outlets can cause the market to move like this, then it’s a good thing to know.

Yep, if fighting does start, the U.S. (the military-industrial complex) gets another little war that's always good for them. If it does NOT start, then Biden can come stumbling out and mumble something about how he was so strong in his warnings to Russia that Vlad backed down.

(EDIT: And yes, I realize other countries have their OWN military-industrial complexes too, that are just as corrupt and warmongering as the U.S.'s)

You are very right colleague that this is the best business for the United States. Ukraine would not even dream of dreaming of invading Russia, and Russia itself does not start wars, it only suppresses them. Ukraine is not a natural enemy of Russia... the conflict has been instigated by the West... by the US and Brits in the first place... everybody understands it... and the World better listen what Putin says because he always says what he thinks and always delivers what he promises... just recently he said that the West will regret about its unfriendly actions and it will... though Putin is the only one to decide when and how to make it happen and always does everything contrary to everyone's expectations... the conclusion is simple: Russia will soon kick some western arses and it's not going to get started from Ukraine...
