Hi all. I am looking at incorporating in my grid EA the ability for all open and all pending trades be closed/cancelled when the current floating profit reaches a specified target, after which, the EA starts opening positions again when the conditions for opening a trade are reached. I am at a loss as to how to achieve this (like I mentioned before in my previous posts, I am just learning to code and not that proficient). Basically the EA starts trading (has open and pending orders). The floating profit reaches say £100, I want the EA to close all current open and pending trades, and then continue to trade starting from £0 profit, until it reaches £100 again, close all current open and pending trades, and continue to trade again starting from £0 and so on. Any ideas please? Thank you

You need something like:

if(AccountProfit() >= myprofit)
{
Closeall();

}

You have to define what to close in the Closeall() function.

Now that I have a code template for buy and sell signals working and filling the blank with if(conditions) Iam not surprised that most combinations of time frames and indicator is absolutely crap. I am frustrated and and hooked at backtesting at the same time.
Does anybody know why iCustom indicator run so damn slow on metatrader?

Depends how you use it, very simple indicators/eas can be made to run slow, also using icustom means a second indicator has to be run concurrently with the ea and even if the ea is simple the called indicator may not be, and if both are simple then the calling logic can still be made slow

Hi, i wonder if it is possible to use other type of inputs for an indicator instead of chart candles Open High Low Close. Like for example using a Heiken Ashi to "feed" the indicators or Renko boxes. (in mt4 i mean)

For example, the first one is normal bars, the second is the same period of time, and the same indicator but with renko box (on tradingview).

Hello almo, thanks for your reply. I thought AccountProfit is the profit of the total account? What I am after is the floating profit/loss of the current trades (image of example of what I am talking about below). So, basically how to capture this floating profit to compare it with my specified target profit. Thanks

Yes, that's possible. You need a Renko solution on MT4 that creates offline charts with Renko bricks. In that offline chart, you attach whatever indicator you want.

But it does not make sense to perform most of the indicators calculation over Renko Charts. Most of them are time series analysis indicators. For example, calculating a moving average of consecutive same-size-bars (Renko) could be among the most stupid things to do with historical trading data.

Renko Charts are useless. Perfect tool for the fancy trading community of TradingView. Perfect for noobs.

The same way. Some solution that creates offline Heiken Ashi charts. And then you attach there whatever indicator you want.

Hello to all. Can someone help me someway i have very good arrows indicator. I want ea who can open and close trade when arrows coming. and it open only 0.25 lots allways
i think this ea be so good if somebody can make if from my custom indicator

In mq4"ObjectSetText" label below, I would have to display different color for:

Account Profit takes into account the total Profit/Loss of all your existing trades. You can verify this yourself using this indi I just threw together

After you validate this, you can then create a variable (ie myProfitTarget), and then use my previous example of how to check for when your => and then close all trades if you reach your target.
