That's happened to me many times, I even mentioned it in post #605.

The thing is once I reach my daily target I close the orders, but I think sometimes I should just let the trade run and see how far it goes. Maybe I can make a lot more profit sometimes, but then I don't want to be greedy and I also run the risk of the trade reversing against me and going into loss.

whichever comes easy. I transferred my drawings on the tradingview site to mt4. because it is important for me to be fast. Anylisis and trading should be same place.

yes you are right and i have no doubt that this happens to everyone.
maybe you've noticed before. There are 3 situations in forex.

1. We make money.
2. we lose money
3. We stay at the same level.

in these 3 cases it makes us unhappy. How Does?

1. why didn't I make more money.
2. Why did I lose money?
3. Why I couldn't do anything.

I think that's what makes people fail. Every situation we face makes us unhappy. we have to fight this.

For example, I get over this situation by repeating this to myself.

"My first priority is not to lose! If my situation of today is better than my situation of yesterday, I am happy."

what is our plan? earn 2.68% every day. its requirements are different. You have to take a short term for this. because we open trades higher leverage than usual.

i follow long term too. and i follow all markets. look at my trades. very different currencies.

Well damn what can I say, it was going good while it was going good hey.

I got stuck in EU's strong bull run yesterday after being certain that it was going to pullback lower, but unfortunately its final push up higher during the Asian session put my account into the red, and then Murphy's Law today it has pulled back and is now reversing into what would have been a profit for me, well bugger it.

My account isn't done, but I did lose the profit accumulated thus far, and a lot of time and effort building it up. This is been a painful frustrating lesson learned, but with each lesson learned makes me a better trader.

I'll go back to the charts and see where and how I went wrong with my technical analysis on EU, and on Monday I will start again to recoup the loss.

Shit happens my friend. One of the worst feeling we can have. Really frustrating.

But it is what it is. We need to learn from the mistakes.

If you deposited 100 you're still in profit! xD

I don't understand how there were so many consistent and profitable trade setups and executions in a row and then suddenly a crash.
Trading martingale has a reputation for this to happen for obvious reasons and therefore most traders who use martingale expect it and prepare to deal with it.
I don't think you were using martingale as a base strategy especially that many days you were flat at the end of the day or week.
But I still can't reconcile the one trade that brought down the many hugely successful previous runs.

mate I'm so sorry for you I am sure that you are more upset about losing the labor you have given than the money you have lost. this is inherent in this business. Get well soon.

I think one problem is position sizing. If a trader can double $100 in a few days, why not double 5K in a few days?
That requires taking huge trades relative to account equity.
I think one should lower the position size as the account grows in order to avoid surprises but it's hard...I should know.

there is too many factors. but if i can tell you based one. upper limit percentage is infinite but lower limit is -%99.9. so you couldnt reach top point if you win, but you could reach lowest point if you lose. an achievable number.

Very true.

This is still the most impressive live action performance I have ever seen.
I am sure mrdfx can do it again and shatter the previous upper limit.

Edit: Your TE is pretty damn good too.
