If your statement is true, then another country must have taken the lead. I do not see any other country ready to do that. In terms of both military power and economy power, USA is still the #1 nation in the world and no anther country is ready to take the lead at this stage.

I see that post#1 has been CoCed.
Presumably for daring to suggest that the USA has lost leadership of free world.
This a disgraceful decision.
It appears to have become impossible to post a non-offensive - opinion about the decline and sorry state of US economic and political leadership without this sort of ill advised partisan interference.
But this is just a symptom of a greater malaise.
The state of management of FF has been unquestionably declining over the last few years. Investment in the news aggregation facility - both provision of and forum management of, has obviously declined, and it becoming of less and less relevance to the "Professional Traders" for whom is apparently designed for.
Pity. Kevin .. best thing you could do now is sell the franchise..while it retains some credibility because the development role you preside over, seems just about dead in the water at this stage.

Actually its better for US consolates in China to close. Both American and Chinese personnel there won't have to worry about the Chinese government breaking in to arrest people,
