If Beijing in its entirety ever goes Wuhan, this will be a disaster for China. Beijing escaped the winter with less than 500 reported cases of the new SARS coronavirus. If they start climbing and surpass that now, it could erase the recent positive news out of Wuhan, where testing of some 11 million people there turned up just around 300 infections, according to public health officials. reading this thread I wonder if everyone's lost the plot?
While all the usual suspects are peddling their political /nationalistic messages nobody's focusing on the lessons coming out of what we know now is happening in Bejing and its significance for public health policies in America and globally.. about the propensity for a second wave in this economically crippling epidemic, .that could disrupt the reopen/business-as-usual policies and expectations were all depending on.
Thats got serious risk implications for western markets. And if you havent figured that out you should quit Fx and take up knitting.

My contribution refers to something proven by the history and it should be a lesson to remember for everyone on the planet. You simply can’t trust communists.
Remember what happened in Chernobyl? How many days it took before the world learned what happened there?! Days which could be spent to initiate the necessary routines for protecting against radiation.
Communist China will be remembered for being dishonest to the world hiding the truth about COVID-19 and letting Chinese people travel around the world spreading the virus.

In the democracy world, journalists don’t get killed when they come too close to what the government is doing. In China and Russia (CCCP) they do.

Go and trust your communists and good luck with that.

Well, certainly nothing was ever said against capitalism to me, China being the wildest capitalist economy ever with a “get rich or die tryin’” mentality.

Since the trade war between US and China you can’t speak about it with Chinese, even with my friends there. Nationalist propaganda has reached a pike.

Socratism is psychology forbidden in China, by school, parents and of course government.

That is why we are all asking how trustworthy this report is. Is it transparent or minimized? If transparent then Chinese government is being proactive and it should be contained, otherwise it might be much worse.

Then you can’t blame all of the following discussions about the Chinese government, we are all bored traders happy to share our political view, that is a forum though, but it doesn’t mean we have lost the plot, there is not much left to say, only time will tell.

So they are not used to cold war themes like 'commies coming' but the opposite of that like Imperialists coming or something like that? With US war ships circling around them you'd figure they have a slang for the Americans or something. They must say something in their propaganda that sounds fearful like how Americans are fearful of 'commies'.

Haha, older article but things have got worse than better since. This isn't even a propaganda article from China. Domestic article by Americans themselves. They don't trust their own administration as we saw with the job numbers. may sporadic and again control ok , but ultimately chances much bigger than 1st very likely or if can't handle then 10 to 100 times greater possible. anyway they have better instrument & experience & hope control at the first scenarios & must stop all doors to outer world for extended times > yrs !
if the same done by the world much earlier then lots of lives might have saved! china may not do this blunder intentionally for sure.

They would be popular if it was Socratism, actually Marx was used by the communist, like Nietzsche by the Nazi, none of them would have agreed with it if Alive.

Socratism is simply asking/answering openly questions and debate about it in order to enlighten one’s mind, aka free speech and non political correctness.

They probably are, the only slang I know is how white foreigners are called “ghost” since the U.K. invasion because peoples were pale.

My mandarin being not too bad for a foreigner I still certainly don’t look state tv, and as said before debating about with Chineses (even friends) is like hitting a wall, so the truth is that I do not know.

But China being an ultra nationalist country, I wouldn’t be surprised that westerners, mostly Americans are being slaughtered on national TV, but again, I do not know.

The perfect question is to ask is - which government did ever tells the truth about anything??!!!

As far as I am concerned, all politicians are the same, they are just pots calling other kettles black. Doesn't matter whether its socialist or capitalism government. So stop the BS about one being worst than the other.

As for some traders here, if you cannot bear to hear what other have to say, then either best keep quiet or move on rather then bashing your way calling other traders names and stop trying to play the childish game of getting Tweed on FF to issue banning on posts you do not like.
