Disliked{quote} Despite the recent drop in the price of gold, I still see gold right now as an excellent long term buying opportunity. When the tensions surrounding China and the virus rise, it could accelerate the rise of gold prices as investors seek safety and hedge against any 2nd or more waves of the coronavirus.Ignored
DislikedWell although I am long(er) term UP/LONG for GOLD.. I do not mind it drop temporary, so to give us the opportunity to buy some of it Even in physical...Ignored
Disliked{quote} I'm not sure who is right the so called experts or me. I trade gold but I only keep physical gold no paper crap for me {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} You better edit this I have been brainstorming myself what would be the best/optimal place to "hide" it... Not that I have problem with that now but I like to play with the idea... But every hiding strategy is risky... And about the experts... Sometimes they do not say/write what they actually believe it would be best for various reasons So I think you should at least double-check with yourself... Also, there is a history that can help us... at least if you are looking for LOOOONGer time(frame) If everything is "perfect".....Ignored
Disliked{quote} The first 4 gold investments are in shares and normally when the price of gold goes up the price of shares goes even higher in percentage term. There are 3 other gold investments that the experts don't talk about they are options, CFDs (banned in the US) and ETFs specializing in gold. The problem is that there has been a lot of market manipulations and also in reporting so I trust only physical gold. The way I see it if I cannot hold it in my hand it's not a gold investmentIgnored
Disliked{quote} Yeah, also don't forget physical gold was seized before, in not to distant past So if you have it, maybe it would better not to mention it, that is why I "suggested" you edit the post And I do not have it in physical form, at least not now Would like to though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_Order_6102Ignored
DislikedIt's a little late in the day for a rally, but Gold right now looks like it's headed towards retesting earlier session highs.{image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Unfortunately you are right in Europe gold in excess of €10,000 needs to be reported upon entry or exit. This is quite annoying. In my country, the US, no reporting is required for gold unless the weight is 1 Kilo or 25 coins of 1 ounce each. If for a valid reason I had to sell my gold I would sell it in Cyprus because there is no income tax on capital gains. I would have also to report the profit made to the IRS but because I don't live in the US I pay no income tax on the first $106K of incomeIgnored
Disliked{quote} Hah, found a video today, by coincidence basically... It actually has a guideline/instructions on how to bury the goldIgnored
Disliked{quote} Nice video but every so often people find gold, silver, etc. that were buried hundreds of years ago. For me best are private vaults but scattered in many countries for security reasons. This is also the reason why I have bank accounts in 5 countries holding CAD, CNY, EUR, GBP and USD. Believe me diversification is the keyIgnored
Disliked{quote} Nice man I also believe in diversification, preferably to 5 continents if possible At least at this uncertain times... Yeah vaults + physical gold might be a very good option, just have to see the "fine print" about what happens if company/bank that provides them gets in trouble... I recently found out that it is possible for vault content to be seized in case of banks insolvency etc... But since you are speaking of private... Also, the dilemma is to (extra) insure the content or not... Anyway, this option does cost but at...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Without checking out the video, yeah, might pay to think creatively, rather than the obvious like a home safe. What kinda dimensions are you looking at? If you say about the size of an household oven, I might have my doubts about whether it is prudent to store it at home. And when they are letting you out.Ignored
