Gold right now, continues to trade in a fairly tight range. It makes absolutely no sense why prices seem to be suppressed. There's still no Brexit certainty, no US-China trade deal, global slowdown continues, and middle east tensions persist. I wouldn't be surprised if gold makes a move higher sometime soon, probably in the next week or two. Don't take my word for it though, I've been calling for higher gold prices all the way down.

Here's that narrow range:

And through the roof on the day time frame to +1550 or a fake out????????????

Yeah difficult to trade in a Ranged market and surprised by the price action given its Diwali week, one of the biggest consumer market.

You swinging? Well I personaly would still bet on the longterm up, although this might be re-affirmed, just in case, in the next 1-2 weeks...
But I might also swing between some points BTW, the next week might be very swingy.. So many (schedules) high-economics news for next week that either direction swing is possible... In fact, with that much potential moves... both sides could win, at least if not over-leveraged in case of strong "anti" spikes, depending on the position... If I would have to choose, I would be LONG atm... But since I can choose between BUY, LONG and NOT TRADING, I would prefer the later at the moment, just in case...

On this XAUUSD trade . I did not set my profits - was @ +10% untill 3pm CET and then lost it all when market truned around @ 10am ET

I bought 0.1l@1504, @1506 and @1510. I engaged 75% of my equity of 2500$. At 3pm with price 1515 I was in profit for 110, 90 and 50 . Total 250$, so 10%. And because of greed, negligence It all melted through the US session. X10

I feel it for you, never nice when someone blows their account, so I hope it hasn’t put you too far out and it wasn’t money you couldn’t afford to lose.

That being said I have absolutely no idea why you decided to go stay long, like none. Nothing about the chart said long stay long, nor did the news. Think Xi Bitcoin, Trade News, Brexit News... If I have no idea and as you say you have no idea, save for greed, I’d just remind and caution you to have a very specific reason for going in and out of any trade. Never ever ever ever break your rules unless you’re willing to burn your account.

Right now, there's barely any liquidity in gold. Australia will open in a few minutes, then Japan in an hour, and the big one SHFE in 2 more hours. Until then, best to remain patient. Look how low the volume is so far since the open:

Yeah, it is dead But it is not just gold, all market are DEAD No one wants to play with FED s/laughter But everytime that we have this rather long stalls... there is some heavy change later... Could be one hell of a halloween

Gold right now is looking bearish since breaking below the $1500 handle. Although, I'm expecting a somewhat narrow range (barring unexpected news headlines).

Gold right now and this month has been no-where. Just trading with-in the range, and today also, baring a shock if fed does not cut, there is no expectation of any range break.

Gold right now is enclosing on the all-important $1500 level (resistance). I don't think we'll see it break above there ahead of the Asian volume coming in a little later. But, remember tonight we have some important Chinese data and the BOJ meeting. Gold could continue it's upward trend that it was on long before the FOMC meeting. It actually came back into the upward channel after tanking on the rate statement.

I see gold prices as having some upward pressure right now. There's a lot of ground to make up from recent declines that weren't really warranted from a fundamental standpoint.

Gold right now is holding above the $1500 handle. If it can stay above that level, we could see prices rise tonight. I'm long. Tight stops.
