If some pairs do not sell well, your account can still earn a profit from the money it makes on other pairs.
If you diversify by putting your money into the appropriate variety of currencies, you are protected if some do poorly and the others perform better.
I pet it is the best way to escape from unattractive market environments!! you know!!
diversification = ensuring that you spread your capital amongst different investments so that you’re not reliant upon a single investment for all of your returns.

in currency market try to avoid pairs correlation!
when you enter GBPUSD and GBPAUD -- this is no longer a diversification! it sums up to one position!!
try the least correlation! and better uncorrelated.

Monday-Tuesday: benign times;
Wed-Thursday: turbulent times

Friday: halve benign, halve turbulent = (benign+turbulent)/2

usually huge gains come at turbulent period!

Compound Pair Theory
if you get short on GBPUSD and get Long on EURGBP
Then these two pairs sum to one single compound pair = Numerator /Denominator

Numerator is bought currencies, Denominator is the sold currencies
therefor, our compound pair here is (USD*EUR)/(GBP^2)
thus you know any instrument related to GBP is in the same direction!

you get:
1) long on EURUSD
2) short on GBPNZD
3) short on chfjpy
4) long on USDCHF
5) long on GBPJPY

what is the compound pair? final answer is: (EUR*NZD)/(CHF^2)---- prove it please!

the actual pairs are the multiplication of EURCHF and NZDCHF, even it is not shown explicitly in the account
