    China has insisted that all tariffs on Chinese imports added by the United States during the trade war must be scrapped immediately as part of any deal to end the year-long conflict, which would require the Trump administration to give up its position that some levies remain in place even after an agreement is reached. US President Donald Trump agreed to pause placing tariffs of up to 25 per cent on an additional US$300 billion of Chinese imports not yet subject to taxes after his meeting with Xi Jinping at the G20 summit last weekend in Japan. But for any deal to be reached, US tariffs of 25 per cent on US$250 ... (full story)

The word respect and trump don't really go together. He will mess it up. Just as he messed up his businesses to the point no one wanted to work with him leading to bankruptcy. .

Trump is sure as hell not backing off from China... Someone mentioned Japan...
Trump has a 30+ years of the rage buildup for - JP in the 80s, CN since 90s or 00s... (also for some others but that is another story)

He would rather be impeached than to give them a pass CN won't back off (easily) either They would so in 20years ago, but they are much stronger (also militarily) now...

It's impossible for current administration to remove all tariffs during trade war w/o losing face. Looks like China wants the US to impose tariffs on another $300 billions to hurt Trump's sponsor in the pocket.

I live in NYC. He was on the news regularly before he even ran. From bankruptcy, to people suing him for non payment which is why his Atlantic city ventures failed. I also worked for the largest REIT in NYC and we routinely would avoid all things trump. So this is in fact business I am referring to. Here is a funny for you. I actually LIKED the guy. Just not qualified. I always thought he had balls to look people in the eye and not pay them. That could be the New Yorker in me a la Gambino fan. However I never wanted that kinda dude in the white house. As for Obama being my guy. He is not. I chose the name because when I started trading he was in office and there was a saying going around about obama and money. The Pee wee herman approach to arguing this guy's standards is a joke. Please stop with the "look at the other guy" defense. Under that mantra a drug dealer should point at pharma no? Drug dealers are still scum!
I don't give 2c about Hilary or Obama. They are out of the white house. Argue HIS merits... of which there are none save tenacity.
