If anyone took the time to actually research and listen to what US commerce secretary Wilbur Ross has stated in regards to the G20, tariffs, Huawei, etc etc going forward, then they would have known talks at G20 were imminent but it won't be the place to make a deal.

This is a complicated matter and will require a 1000 pages of conditions/agreements etc, which aren't going to be hammered out in the G20 setting. Structural agreements maybe, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
