Disliked{quote} Awesome data there, a bit of bias in some but overall accurate. Thing to note why you got impression that HTF yields more setups is because FX tester has a very poor data on lower TFs. Anything bellow M15 shouldnt be considered on FX tester, unless you get some external data source. I am assuming that that was your problem as it was on my side, altough it could be the case that you did have good price data, in which case i am not sure why you came with the conclusion that HTF yielded more setups. Just like in any stress test its extremelly...Ignored
Just to add to that, to what relates to you is that its important to not make a mistake of presumption which most traders do that for LTF trading you need huge amounts of free time and being able to access market at any time. This is only true if you have 1 rare play in your playbook. The plays presented on this thread are great fit for aynone with limited time as long as you can structure your time to have access to market when its really needed. As mentioned before for example shorting heavy short squeezes being one. As long as trader has proper plays that fit into busy schudule anything is possible.
And you really need to be open minded to try anything. One thing i can say for myself and pretty much most traders overall is that they get stucked in specific assets due to initial assumptions they make. "You cant make money in FX trading against banks, its too hard go trade stocks", or "trade FX because there is not enough leverage in equities". To really fit trading to your needs, one has to be open to learn and try any market, any pattern. Assumptions are often more damaging because the fact is majority of assumptions are complete over-simplifications and thus not true.
