COMEX division has gold and silver. Much larger margins than FX and more rules and regs.
This is part of the reason they are stopping FX dealers from offering it, they are calling it CFD trading, which is illegal in the US partially due to the size of the actual real market.
For instance, not every Euro nation has a commod exchange. Anyone in the US with a seat on the exchange or thru a broker can access comex/nymex and globex for afterhours trading.
NY metals pit trading ends around 1:30 PM. London sets a price fix used mostly all over the world besides NY twice a day for spot metals in USD.
