VO-Pro is no longer available. There have been too many problems reported when running it on Windows 7 and VPSs.
However, I will continue to support existing clients. Please feel welcome to post your questions in this thread, or message/e-mail me through my profile page.
Existing users: please read this post. VO-Pro may behave erratically on the more recent MT4 builds.
Important info about Windows 8 here --- please read.

Latest news
Oct 8, 2012:
1. I've decided to remove the news indicator from the public domain. I no longer have the time or motivation to continue supporting the product. The Q&A overhead has become too time-consuming, especially for a free product. I apologize, but I must devote time to projects that have to most potential to provide me with the income needed to pay my bills.
2. Both VO-Pro sales numbers, and the rating for this thread, continue to plummet. I can only conclude that the more features that are added to VO-Pro, the more confusing people have found it, and hence the less popular it has become. I will fix the bug described here, but beyond that I must re-consider the viability and future of VO-Pro, as to whether it is worth the time and effort to enhance the product any further. The planned enhancements will only serve to make the product even more complex, and will increase the support/Q&A requirement, as non-programmers will likely struggle to understand how to use the enhancements effectively. And once again, my personal financial situation must be the overriding priority. I will make a final decision before the end of this week.
Sep 5, 2012: VO-Pro v3.05 is now available, and can now be downloaded from the ZIP file at the foot of this post. All known bugs have been fixed. This, and all future versions, will not overwrite factory-supplied presets and TM templates, ensuring that any modifications you make to them remain intact. Latest version of VO-Pro v3-0 Operations & Reference Guide has also been uploaded, with a new information on the rules for processing order types (see page 41).
Aug 30, 2012: VO-Pro v3.04 is now available, and can now be downloaded from the ZIP file at the foot of this post. All known bugs have been fixed. The SL/TP options in VOConsole's 'Create New Order' panel have been extended to include entry+N/entry–N (pips). More info here. Latest version of VO-Pro v3-0 Operations & Reference Guide has also been uploaded, with pages physically numbered. Price of VO-Pro will revert to US$199 on 1 September.
Aug 18, 2012: I dislike marketing gimmicks, because I believe a product either offers value at its full price, or it doesn't. Nonetheless, VO-Pro is now available for half price (US$99, instead of $199), until the end of August. Please feel welcome to take advantage of this opportunity, while it's available.
Aug 6, 2012: VO-Pro v3.03 is now available, and can now be downloaded from the ZIP file at the foot of this post. All known bugs have been fixed. More info here. Latest version of VO-Pro v3-0 Operations & Reference Guide has also been uploaded.
July 31, 2012: Finally! VO-Pro/TM now has a (99 page) user manual. I've converted the 'VO-Pro v3-0 Operations & Reference Guide' Word doc to PDF format. I had to ZIP it as it exceeded FF's file size limit. You can download the ZIP from the foot of this post.
Next, I have one bug to fix; I hope to post v3.03 in the next 24 hours. Then I'll be re-making all of the instructional YouTube videos.
July 25, 2012: VO-Pro v3.02 is now available, and can now be downloaded from the ZIP file at the foot of this post. All known bugs have been fixed. Latest version of VO-Pro v3-0 Operations & Reference Guide has also been uploaded.
July 20, 2012: VO-Pro version 3.01 can now be downloaded from the ZIP file at the foot of this post. More info here.
July 16, 2012: Updated the document. It's around 28 pages now, but still a long way to go yet; I'll be adding a lot of screenshots and diagrams before it's finished. It's been renamed to something more appropriate: VO-Pro v3-0 Operations & Reference Guide.
July 6, 2012: For anybody who wishes to get started with Trade Minder, I've attached a document to this post. This document is a work in progress — I'll continue to add to it, and re-post it every day, until a full operations manual for VO-Pro is complete.
July 4, 2012: VO-Pro v3.0 (with Trade Minder) is now available. Download the beta version from the ZIP file at the end of this post. The price of VO-Pro is now US$199. I am working on user manuals and instructional videos; will post these immediately they are complete (hopefully over the next 1-2 weeks). In the meantime, I will post some basic instructions in this thread. When the beta period is complete, VO-Pro will be migrated from Forex Factory to its own page on Andrew Mitchem's website.
July 2, 2012: At last! Development of VO-Pro v 3.0/Trade Minder is now complete. I'll perform some final testing over the next 1-2 days, and then release the beta version here. Then I'll start work on the user manuals and instructional videos.
June 17, 2012: For a sneak preview/overview of how Trade Minder will operate, click here. I hope to release VO-Pro v3.0 (beta), which will include Trade Minder, during the last week of June.
June 3, 2012: Version 2.34 is now available. For more info, see post #663.
May 29, 2012: Version 2.33 is now available.
1. VO-Pro is now capable of factoring commissions, swaps and other costs into its position sizing, risk and return calculations.
2. The trial version now allows the TradeRisk value to be split into multiple component orders, just as in the paid-for version.
Detailed info here.
May 24, 2012:
NEW! VO-PRO version 3.0 will include TRADE MINDER module
Some months ago I said that I would include some trade management functions into VO-Pro. 'Trade Minder' (TM) will be capable of a wide range of functions, including full and partial closing of open positions (also allowing 'stealth' exits); deleting pending orders (e.g. 'one cancels the other' order pairs); moving and trailing SLs; and a range of other operations, all completely configurable when certain user-specified parameters are met. You simply define your set of rules ("if certain orders meet certain conditions, then perform the following operation(s)"), and leave the Trade Minder EA to execute them, while you're away from your computer.
The 'VO monitor EA' will be upgraded to perform all trade minder functions, on any or all currency pairs, despite being attached to only one MT4 chart. Despite being a VO-Pro module, TM's independence means that it can operate on any orders, regardless of whether these orders were created using VO-Pro or not. Orders for which TM rules have been created can also have their TPs and SLs moved visually using VO-Pro’s Modify Orders script.
Upon the release of TM, I will increase the price of VO-Pro to US$199. (Note: the current purchase price of VO-Pro is US$69). However, as always, all upgrades are available free of charge to all previous VO-Pro buyers. I hope to release VO-Pro/TM v3.0 by around mid-June.
For up-to-date information, please continue to monitor this thread.

Introduction
After providing more than 40,000 Forex Factory patrons with a free news indicator, I've decided to 'go commercial' with a rather more ambitious offering.
VO-Pro is a comprehensive visual order management system for MT4. It's my belief that the serious trader should be allowed to focus on his analysis, while software automatically takes care of price numerics, order type, risk/sizing calculations, adjustment for spread, and order placement. VO-Pro is designed to facilitate rapid, accurate, bulk order creation, modification, closure and deletion.
Rather than engage in a lengthy sales pitch, I'll simply say two things: that the best way to see VO-Pro's array of features is to try it for yourself; and that VO-Pro has helped me to become a more accurate and consistent trader. I hope that it can do the same for you.
Disclaimer
This software (VO-Pro) is provided on an 'as is' basis, and by downloading and using it, you agree to do so entirely at your own risk.
I strongly recommend that you test this software, and familiarize yourself thoroughly with its operation, and idiosyncrasies, before attempting to use it on a live MT4 account.
I accept no responsibility for any trading decisions that you might make.
I accept no liability whatsoever for any losses, material or otherwise, that you might incur from the correct or incorrect use of this software.
VO-PRO is shareware
Anybody can now download and test a trial version for 14 days. The only limitations in the trial version are (i) that risk on new trades must be either 2 lots, $200, or 20% of your account equity; and (ii) the Trade Minder function is limited to a maximum of 6 rules. All other features are fully available. You may download a fresh trial version every 14 days, as many times as you wish, if you need more time for testing.
If your version of VO-Pro is unregistered after the trial period expires, you'll see a pop-up message window like that shown in post #124.
I strongly recommend that you thoroughly test all of VO-Pro's features and functions (on a demo account), before you make any decision about purchasing the product. Make sure that VO-Pro behaves exactly the way that you expect it should; that it performs correctly on all of the br0ker MT4 versions that you intend to run it on; and satisfy yourself that it offers you value for your money. Should you decide to purchase VO-Pro, I want you to be happy with your purchase. Due to banking and exchange costs, there can be no refunds.
The purchase price for VO-Pro is USD 199, and all payments must be made via PayPal. The $199 registration will allow you to run VO-Pro on up to 3 different MT4 installations, or 3 different computers (explained here). Buyers will be sent a new registration key file as soon as their money has been receipted. More information here.
I will be attempting to negotiate arrangements with MT4 br0kers, where the purchase price might be paid or subsidized by the br0ker if you meet certain criteria, like opening a certain size account, or transacting a certain volume of trades. If you have a preference for any particular br0ker(s), please either post this, or PM me.
Upgrades
All upgrades will be downloadable, at no additional charge, from this post. I will increment the version number, and bump the thread, whenever there is an upgrade. Because of the way the registration key operates, any upgrades will automatically apply to both the 14-day trial, and the full featured, version.
This does NOT include upgrades to MT5. Any future MT5 version will be offered as a separate product and in a separate thread.
Testing to date
I've tested VO-Pro on 19 different MT4 br0kers, and everything seems to work fine:
- ActivTrades
- Alpari UK
- Alpari NZ
- Axi(s) Trader
- Forex.com/Gain Capital (uses currency symbols like EURUSDFXF)
- FXCM (Australia)
- FXDD
- FX PRO
- FX Solutions (Australia)
- Go Markets
- IamFX
- IBFX mini (e.g. symbols EURUSDm)
- MBT Trader
- MIG Bank
- Pepperstone
- Smart Live Trades
- Vantage FX
- Varengold FX (4-digit quotes)
VO-Pro should run correctly, no matter where your MT4 (drive and folder) is installed.**
However, I am running only Win XP Pro SP2 here; my facilities to test on either Win 7 or Vista are limited. Feedback is most welcome.
** If running Vista, you may need to first either (1) sign on as the System Administrator, or (2) re-install MT4 somewhere other than in a folder underneath Program Files, in order to have VO-Pro install and run correctly (more information here).
If you're having problems installing/running VO-Pro on either Vista or Win 7 (especially if files appear to be missing or not executable), then please read posts #44 and #46 here. The video attached to this post might also help.
Download and Setup
Unzip the VOsetup v2-xx.ZIP file, to obtain the installer program VOsetup.EXE. Then run the installer, and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you have trouble downloading the ZIP file, try clicking the 'paper clip' icon in the top right corner of the Forex Factory window (labeled '1' in the screenshot below). Then click on the attachment (labeled '2').
Failing that, please send me an e-mail, with a suitable subject (e.g. "Re: VO-Pro") so that I don't treat it as spam, and I will attach the file(s) to my return mail.

Basic VO-Pro operations
To place a pending (stop or limit) order:
1. Select 'pending buy' or 'pending sell' from the dropdown.
2. Set your Trade Risk. Click the wizard ('?' button) to set it as either (a) number of lots, (b) $ value, or (c) as a % of your account balance; or click the dropdown to recall a previously used value.
3. Drag the 'VO Create New Order' script onto the chart, dropping it approximately at the price level where you want the trade to be entered.
4. Select and drag (using the MIDDLE of the three handles) the entry (white), TP (green) and SL (red) lines anywhere on the screen, to your desired levels. (This can change the order type, if appropriate). You can also:
a) re-adjust your risk (see step 2), at any time;
b) right-click and delete either the SL or TP, if you don't use a SL or TP;
c) drag the RIGHT handle up/down to adjust the position of the text upward/downward, relative to the lines;
d) toggle the 'Show RR text' checkbox on/off to display/hide the RR text;
e) toggle the 'Extend lines' checkbox on/off to extend the lines to the right of the chart;
f) while holding the SHIFT key down, drag the right or left handles to lengthen/shorten the line (this also moves the text left/right).
5. EITHER click the green checkmark button to have VO-Pro execute the trade;
OR click the red X button to cancel the whole process.
To place a market order:
1. Select 'market buy' or 'market sell' from the dropdown.
2. Set your risk, exactly as explained for a pending order.
3. Drag 'VO Create New Order' anywhere onto the main price chart.
4. Follow step 4 exactly as explained for a pending order. The only exception is that there is no white entry line, because entry will be at the market price.
5. Follow step 5 exactly as explained for a pending order.
To modify one or more orders:
1. Click the brown right-arrow button, to display VOConsole's Orders List window.
2. Select the orders you want to modify by clicking on them (or use the order selection buttons ALL, NONE, Invert, etc). Then click the blue left arrow button, to hide the Orders List window (so that you can see your MT4 chart).
3. Drag the 'VO Modify Orders' script anywhere onto the main price chart.
4. Select and drag (using the MIDDLE of the three handles) the entry (white), TP (green) and SL (red) lines anywhere on the screen, to your desired levels. (This can change the order type, if appropriate). You can also:
a) right-click and delete either the SL or TP, if you don't use a SL or TP (note: you must delete any dotted lines, as these assume that you wish to add a SL/TP);
b) right-click and delete the entry line, to delete a pending order;
Points (c) thru (f) work exactly the same as for a pending order (see above).
g) Toggle 'Show RR totals' on/off, to see the total risk/return/size etc across all displayed orders.
5. EITHER click the green checkmark button to have VO-Pro execute all modifications;
OR click the red X button to cancel all modifications.
To close and/or delete one or more orders:
Follow steps 1 and 2 as explained in 'modify orders' (the previous section above) to select your desired orders. Open orders (shown in blue=in profit, or red=in loss) are closed; pending orders (shown in black typeface) are deleted. If you want to partially close orders, click the wizard button to the left of the 'Close Rules' field, and select your desired option.
3. Drag the 'VO Close and Delete Orders' script anywhere onto the main price chart.
4. Check that you are happy with all of the operations that will be performed, as shown in the pop-up window.
5. EITHER click the OK button in the pop-up, to have VO-Pro execute all operations;
OR click the Cancel button to cancel all operations.
NOTES
After clicking EXECUTE, do NOT attempt to interfere with the order placement process. It is too late to change anything. Please wait patiently for your br0ker to process your request.
Provided that the br0ker processes your request, you're done. The lines and text created by VO-Pro should disappear from your chart, and your request should be reflected by the orders shown both in MT4's terminal area, and also in VO Console's Orders List window.
If you get an error message......
If, however, your br0ker does not process your request, a pop-up message window with an error message, suggested action, and diagnostic information, will appear. If you want me to troubleshoot, then I would ask that you take a screenshot (press the Print-Screen key on your keyboard, and paste the result into an app like Microsoft Word). Then click the OK button in the pop-up window, to clear the error message. You can now re-try the operation, starting at step 1.
If all else fails, run the Cleanup script
If after completing the above process, the lines/text created by VO-Pro still remain on your chart, then you may run the VO Cleanup script. After a short wait, you'll get a pop-up message window like that shown in the first screenshot in post #144. Reply YES to this message and a pop-up message "Cleanup successful" will appear. Click OK. This has reset everything; you are good to go once again.

Desk Pins
If you want to keep VOConsole 'on top' of all of your (MT4) windows, and therefore always available for input, there's a great FREEWARE utility called 'Desk Pins', developed by Elias Fotinis, that can be downloaded from this link.
Run Desk Pins and a small icon will appear in your systray (at the bottom right of your screen).
Click on this icon, and then click anywhere on VOConsole, and a small red pin icon will appear at the top of the VOConsole window, locking it 'on top' of all your other windows. (To see the data behind VOConsole, you'll either need to move VOConsole, minimize it, or close it.)
To remove the pin, simply click on the pin icon at the top of the VOConsole window. VOConsole is now no longer 'on top'. Or you can right click on the systray icon, and select 'Remove all pins'.
To change Desk Pins' options, right click on the systray icons, and choose 'Options...'
Of course you can use Desk Pins to keep other applications 'on top' also.
Release notes
Version 1.0 (uploaded Feb 7, 2011) --- initial release.
Version 2.0 (uploaded March 7, 2011) --- major overhaul of Version 1.
Version 2.01 (uploaded March 11, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. Diagonal lines (caused by dragging the outer handles) now auto-correct themselves. Hence it's now possible to drag the lines anywhere with total freedom. And it's no longer necessary to hold down the SHIFT key while re-sizing the lines.
2. Error message handling has been enhanced. VO-Pro now displays full message text for MT4 error# 4000 upwards.
3. Enhancements to Trade Risk field: it's been widened from 20 to 50 characters, and it's now possible to create multiple orders of different sizes in one blow (see video #10 above).
Version 2.02 (uploaded March 16, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. Diagonal lines (caused by dragging the outer handles) now calibrate the location of the RR text above/below the lines. The lines still auto-correct back to horizontal lines.
2. Added a number of hotkeys to the Console interface.
3. Wizard UI has been enhanced.
4. Option to use horizontal lines (instead of trend lines) has been removed, as many folk were finding it too confusing.
5. You can now enter (for example) E+10000 into the Account Amount field, i.e. this would equate to your Account Equity plus $10,000. This affects Trade Risk that's entered as a % of the account amount. Previously you could enter B, E or F or a number, but now you can enter B, E or F plus a number. (This is in response to the request in post #30, point 3).
See video #12 for further details.
Version 2.03 (uploaded March 21, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. New RR totals in Modify Orders function: allows you to see total return/risk across a group of trades, in the same pair.
2. New Order List window totals: shows total number of pending and open orders, and net P/L, for (i) all trades, and (ii) all selected trades.
3. It's now possible to set the account denomination currency to pounds, euros or yen via the Trade Risk field. The last currency used there is effective throughout VO-Pro.
4. New 'MT4 Palette' button now shows a color chart of all 132 MT4 colors, to help you choose suitable colors for the lines/text plotted on your charts.
Version 2.04 (uploaded March 26, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. Problem described in post #54 (inability to handle br0ker-enforced lot increments of anything other than 0.01 or 0.1) has been rectified.
2. Improvements to error handling.
3. Beta test period has been extended until April 17.
Version 2.05 (uploaded April 3, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. Facility to display True Leverage has been implemented.
2. Presets facility has been streamlined and enhanced.
Version 2.06 (uploaded April 14, 2011) --- no modifications, this is merely to extend the beta test period out until April 30.
Version 2.07 (uploaded April 19, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. As requested in post #147, the VOConsole.EXE window is now fully resizeable. It's also possible to press hotkeys Shift-F10, Shift-F11 and Shift-12 to get progressively smaller versions of the Min(imum) window.
Version 2.08 (uploaded April 29, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. VO-Pro now handles any account denominated currency; previously, your account had to be denominated in one of dollars, pounds, euros or yen.
2. The 'Adjust for Spread' facility, which was causing inconsistencies for fixed TPs and SLs (when creating new orders), is now no longer available in this situation.
3. Extends the beta test period to May 15.
Version 2.09 (uploaded May 14, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. Minor modification to layout of VOConsole screen.
2. Extended the beta test period to May 22.
Version 2.10 (uploaded May 20, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. Fixed bug in 'Show RR totals' - where some orders had SLs but not TPs, the total TP calculation was incorrect.
2. Fixed bug in size step - example: where br0ker had minimum size requirement of 0.1 lots, but a step of 0.01 lots thereafter, 'VO Create New Order' was previously incrementing size by 0.1 instead of 0.01, both as the lines were being moved, and the order being placed was being rounded to the nearest 0.1, instead of 0.01. This has been fixed so that it now increments according to the step, not the minimum size.
3. Fixed bug: if the lot size was less than the minimum allowed, 'VO Create New Order' was previously skipping the order placement; it now correctly passes the order to the br0ker, allowing "Error 131 - Invalid Trade volume" to be returned. (Note: you still get prior warning, as the RR text already shows "ERROR - Order size is less than minimum allowed").
4. New VOConsole setting 'ECN/STP br0ker: allow slippage if interim price move'. See post #225 for more information.
5. Enhancement to error handling: all VOConsole settings are now also being output to the Errors Log.TXT file.
6. Enhancements to setup process: this now automatically creates both program groups and icons on your desktop for VOConsole; a link to this thread; and a link to the YouTube channel with all of the instructional videos. It also sets up all of the hotkeys and favorites in MT4 for all of the VO-Pro scripts.
7. Extended the beta test period to May 29.
Version 2.11 (uploaded May 29, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. VO Monitor is now an EA instead of a script. This means that it only needs to be attached once, and will automatically be restart itself should you ever exit and restart MT4.
2. Extended the beta test period to June 12.
Version 2.12 (uploaded June 3, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. VOConsole: The preset names use a smaller font, allowing all the maximum of 20 characters in a preset name to be viewed.
2. VOConsole: 'Auto-execute order(s)' checkbox now glows in red typeface, if checked ON, as this option is arguably dangerous if used injudiciously. This also causes the panel headers to glow red also, and the (temporarily redundant) EXECUTE and CANCEL buttons to disappear.
3. VOConsole: The 'MT4 Palette' button now works as originally intended. If the cursor is currently positioned in any color field (there are 6 of them), and then the button is immediately clicked, then clicking on any color in the displayed palette will automatically paste that value back into the color field.
4. Bug fix: the unacceptable time lag, when changing timeframes on the chart to which the 'VO Monitor EA' is attached, no longer occurs.
5. VOConsole: The wizard help windows, when summoned, are now fixed relative to the location of VOConsole's main window, instead of floating. This will hopefully correct the problem, where a user with multiple monitors finds that the wizard help window pops up on a completely different monitor to the VOConsole main window.
6. It is now possible to customize VOConsole's window size (width and height) generated by each of the Min, Settings and Orders buttons. Drag the bottom/right window edges until the desired window size is showing, then press Alt-F10, Alt-F11 or Alt-F12, respectively, to create a snapshot of your desired size. Now when you click the Min, Settings or Orders button (or their respective hotkeys), the screen will size itself to your selected snapshot. This size remains effective until a new snapshot is created, the 'Rsetore Factory Settings' button is clicked (or press Alt-F), or VOConsole is exited.
7. VOConsole: the hotkeys Shift-F9, Shift-F10, Shift-F11 and Shift-F12 now set the Min window to four different preset sizes. Press Alt-F10 to lock in one of these sizes, as described in point 6.
8. New wizard options for creating new orders: the Entry wizard now allows an option that sets the entry level to the location on the chart where the 'VO Create New Order' script is dropped, and the SL and TP wizards have options that allow their levels to be set N pips above/below this drop point.
9. RR text adjustment change: The speed at which the text drifts upward/downward when one of the entry/SL/TP lines is tilted has been slowed by a factor of 50%.
10. Fix to VOsetup.EXE installer package: this no longer deletes the VOpresets.INI file, which means that all preset names remain in their same 'slots' (in VOConsole's Presets area) as before, when a new version of VO-Pro is installed.
11. Fix to VOsetup.EXE installer package: this now correctly deletes any out-of-date VO scripts that are still hanging around from earlier versions of VO-Pro.
12. 'VO Create New Order' script: A new warning message "ERROR - Invalid order type" now appears in the situation where the entry point of a pending buy order is placed exactly on the current ASK price. This will continue to cause either "Error 130 – Invalid stops" or "Error 4009 - Not initialized string in array" to pop up in a message window, if not corrected, in which case you need to simply move the entry line, and click the EXECUTE button to re-place the order.
Version 2.14 (uploaded June 12, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. VOConsole: You can now press Alt-F8 to switch to the 'advanced' layout, and then Alt-F9 to return to the 'standard' layout.
--- The advanced layout shrinks the 6 buttons so that they fit on one line (although you can still get a full description (Reset, Execute, etc) from the help tooltip - hover your mouse cursor over the button), allowing the 10 load preset buttons to be squashed together onto the second line. When you click a preset button it is highlighted in bold font, and is shadowed (and see note 2 also).
--- The standard layout operates exactly as before.
2. VOConsole: the 'Trade Risk' caption now includes '(market/pending......order/buy/sell)', giving a description of the probable order type (although this doesn't update if you change the order type by moving the entry/SL/TP levels around). The caption 'market' or 'pending' is determined by the status of the 'Entry' checkbox.
The caption 'order' changes to 'buy' or 'sell' if the preset includes the text 'buy' or 'sell' somewhere in its name. The caption also turns green for a buy, and purple for a sell. Additionally, if the advanced layout is currently in effect, and the window has been sized so that preset name can't be seen in the 'Presets' area, then the 'Trade Risk' caption further changes to the name of the last clicked preset.
3. VO Monitor EA: fixed so that the correct order types are now being passed to VOConsole's Orders List panel. Previously it has 'buy stop' and 'sell limit' the wrong way around.
4. VOConsole: there's a new checkbox in the top right corner: 'Show entry/SL/TP'. If checked ON, the entry/SL/TP are displayed in the Comment column; if checked OFF, the Comment displays there just as it did previously.
5. VOConsole: the Orders List now refreshes itself every 1.5 seconds (previously it was 2.5 seconds). Also, it now resfreshes continuously, in every situation, but only if the order data has changed. (Previously, it turned static if one or more orders had been selected, and it was also necessary to click in the panel to resume refreshing, after returning from scripts being run on the chart). You can still click the ORDERS button (or press F8 or F12) at any time, to force a manual refresh. Clicking RESET (or pressing F9) also causes a manual refresh, and de-selects all selected orders (as well as resetting other fields, and causing the entry/SL/TP lines to be reset to their starting 'Vert pos' levels).
6. The 'VO Create New Order' and 'VO Modify Orders' scripts now consume significantly less CPU usage.
7. VOConsole: the EXECUTE and CANCEL buttons no longer disappear when 'Auto-execute order(s)' is checked ON. (I overlooked the fact that they're needed if the br0ker returns an error after an order is placed).
8. Beta test period has been extended by 2 weeks until June 26.
Version 2.15 (uploaded June 26, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. This post is getting too large, hence I've made a detailed list of the enhancements here.
2. Beta test period has been extended by 2 weeks until July 10.
Version 2.16 (uploaded July 8, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. This post is getting too large, hence I've made a detailed list of the enhancements here.
2. Beta test period has been extended by 2 weeks until July 24.
Version 2.17 (uploaded July 9, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. This fixes the bug described here. If you enter a currency amount into the Trade Risk field, the Currency format field is now automatically updated with the correct currency symbol ($, £, ¥ or €). The 'Copy settings to all presets' button now correctly copies the Currency format value to all presets, if 'All items in display formatting panel' is checked ON.
Version 2.20 (uploaded August 18, 2011). No enhancements, this merely extends the beta test period to August 28.
Version 2.21 (uploaded August 21, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
For a detailed list of the enhancements, please see here.
Version 2.22 (uploaded August 27, 2011) --- There are no new enhancements. The beta test period is now over. More information here.
Version 2.24 (uploaded August 31, 2011) --- two minor modifications, see here for details.
Version 2.25 (uploaded Sept 4, 2011) --- fixes problem described in post #482.
Version 2.26 (uploaded Sept 18, 2011) --- made the following modifications:
1. VO-Pro can now be registered by computer ID instead of MT4 account number.
2. The trial (unregistered) version now correctly shows the 3 allowable Trade Risk options in the dropdown: 2 (lots), $200, or 20% (of equity).
3. The ‘Copy settings to all presets’ now has an additional option. You can choose to copy the on-screen settings to either (i) ALL presets (this is how it worked previously) or (ii) to only those presets that you’ve selected in the ‘Preset buttons’ area.
Version 2.27 (uploaded Nov 15, 2011) --- made the following enhancement:
More options for Entry wizard (in 'Create New Order' panel).
Version 2.28 (uploaded Nov 18, 2011) --- made the following enhancement:
Position of text above horizontal lines can now be set in VOConsole.
Version 2.29 (uploaded Nov 28, 2011) --- made the following enhancements:
1. The speed at which the vertical position of the text can be adjusted can now be set in VOConsole.
2. It's now possible to generate screenshots of 'VO Create New Order' and 'VO Modify Order(s)', which are automatically captured the instant before the EXECUTE (green tickmark) button is clicked. NOTE: this may not work correctly on some multi-monitor setups.
Version 2.30 (uploaded Dec 12, 2011) --- made the following enhancements:
1. New parameter 'Tickvalue override' allows you to override the $/pip (per full lot traded) value. Some br0kers have set this value incorrectly in metals, commodities, indices, etc, which was causing VO-Pro to miscalculate position sizes.
2. New parameter 'Price Snap to grid' allows you to set a value which causes the entry/SL/TP lines to be rounded and snapped to the nearest multiple of the value that you specify.
Version 2.31 (uploaded Feb 9, 2012)
1. Minor fix to True Leverage calculation. Applicable only if br0ker appends suffixes to currency symbols, e.g. IamFX uses EURUSDiam instead of EURUSD
Version 2.32 (uploaded May 10, 2012)
1. This fixes the bug reported here.
Version 2.33 (uploaded May 29, 2012)
1. VO-Pro is now capable of factoring commissions, swaps and other costs into its position sizing, risk and return calculations.
2. The trial version now allows the TradeRisk value to be split into multiple component orders, just as in the paid-for version.
Detailed info here.
Version 2.34 (uploaded June 3, 2012)
1. Enhancement to Price Snap to Grid facility (more info here).
2. v2.34 has been compiled using MT4 build 427. MT4 builds earlier than 416 are no longer supported by MetaQuotes.
Version 3.0 (beta) (uploaded July 4, 2012)
1. Major upgrade: Trade Minder added.
Please note that this version has been compiled on MT4 build 427, and may cause crashes if run on builds earlier than 416.
