A session in this case is any time period within a day. For example, from 9:00 to 18:00. The indicator should determine the range of price movement for this period. I don’t know if I explained it in enough detail.

No, you didn't, I asked for the 3 criteria, and you did not even give 1.

Let me show you.

1) Session ---------> example, 9:30 am to 10:30 am New York local time

2) Range -----------> example, highest price to low price within the session selected

3) Instrument -------> example, DOW Index

All that other stuff about displaying projected levels is new information not previously mentioned, however, that could be coded as long as the criteria is very specific, not sure if you are able to do that?

Have you seen this used as a profitable strategy or share some clues to how this can be used? Is there any logical back testing that proves this might be the holy grail?

I can see why it might not already exist, candles already show what is happening in a session, past sessions will not predict the future, IMHO, could be wrong about the whole concept.

It takes a lot for me to IGNORE you, but you can try.

When you open the zipfile, it will create a folder that has only one file in it.
That is the ex4 file that you need to copy & paste into Data Folder/MQL4/Indicators
Restart MT4 to finish install.

bro this is really amazing indicator to watch /monitor candles level/zone if possible please consider to add options open high low close horizontal with button or list ( so we can chose open/high/low/close and monitor price ) so chart will not clutter

Hello;
Does anyone know how I can get in touch with the programmer Jeanlouie? I need a renumbered programming of an indicator that is his. If anyone has contact with him please be kind enough to let him know. I cannot pass the programming on to another programmer, first because the indi is his, and second because I do not have the mq4 file.

Yes, I recall the base indicator xb4 repaints a few bars, the signalling indicator I made doesn't as it only takes live values (subject to mtf). If you run it for a while then reload it, the history is completely different, which was mentioned in the post was it was first issued.

The original "BoxFibo.mq4" was written by Hanover long ago. I made v2.01 variant with a on/off button added in April 2023. In almost two years, no one told me the button wasn't working right, but I happened to notice it recently and fixed it. The latest of mine will always be in Post #1 of one of my threads.

The details of my just posted v2.03 P4L BoxFibo.mq4 are here. You can at least compare versions and see the 2 'buttonStatus' conditionals you'll need. (See the notes).

But your "Custom*" variant is a major change, and I don't myself even use or care about the original indicator, so I'm not going to dive into yet another variant. Hopefully this gives you (or someone else ?) some clues.

I'm not aware of any version repainting, outside of reloading altogether as the base indicator repaints.

The arrow appears like this in the latest version, is this normal?, And if it's not a problem, you could tell me about the configuration. In the previous version, in parameters 40 and 60, you recommended setting the 60 option to 0 so that not so many arrows would appear.

Session - the time interval may not be equal to the actual trading session of a particular bank, why shouldn't the user set it up themselves?
Range - how else can it be defined, if not from the lowest to the highest? It's like specifying that in this case a day is equal to 24 hours.
Instrument - why? What difference does it make which instrument is used? How is EUR/USD different from GBP/JPY in this regard?
If I really don't know something, enlighten me, I'll be grateful.
