this is so call panic sell, they always do this, over and over to get the best buy price, you dont know about this => you lose the money, the real value... this time, it created nice strong push down is no different but a new rotation of cash flow, real value stay reduce bit by bit in time, but new asset will rise, then again the pump and dump cycle back to gold. lol very nice dream of 5k 6k, but have ever people look at history? only in 1980 price increase from 35$ => 950$ =>250$ => 1100$ =>770$ =>2000$ =>1100$ => now stay at 4k$, anyone look at chart can calculate that every single cycle it in crease only 3-4 times of value, then drop half or 25% =.= people please look at history, check back test, have a real vision and a clear mind... realistic target... dont dream, dont delude your own mind lol
With inflation also can calculate that, and of course price could reach higher, but lol, 5% drop is not very good sign for up trend any more -.-

well done.
great move we were waiting for few days now.
didnt expect to goto 4370
but this is gold so anyways.
today was great move,
but i will not be selling tomorow.
Futures price and forex price gap widened more then 30$ after a long time.
so if i were you i will wait or 1H or 4H drop to complete maybe 4100 will not be a bad idea to buy for another run towards 4300
simply because gold was over bought on daily even weekly chart.
it was boung to retrace,
honestly i thought 4200 150$ drop might be enough.
but not everything happens as we think.
but still we have untill tomorrow or the market ot cool down.
if the Downside continues still i will not sell.
next week FOMC meeting.
and Still us china trade war has no sign of any deal.
who knows what will happen.
but in case gold does reach 4100 and below 4050 i will enter for 100-200$ move and i am very patient.
stleast untill the FOMC the fear will drive the gold up again.

anything close to 4100 gold is out of over bought even on daily chart.
so its time to take rest and let it play out.
as i explaiend i shorted at 4350 it was over bought on many levels 4300 target got hit and hell now i wish i could have left atleast half trade it will be 4% profit in one day.
but anyways profit is profit.
for us its time to wait for the gold traders to calm down.
i will atleast give it today and tomorrow EUR session will give us a clue if 4370 was the double top confirmed or just profit taking.

my point.
it is very risky ot trade now for the retracement just because gold is down 200$
it could go another 100$. it happened before many times.
so when we will enter i will make sure to post my analysis.

Is there a possibility of gold falling further? As far as I can see, there is not enough fuel for that unless news comes out.

Hard to say but looks likely and Market maybe anticipating US and China deal likely / FED shutdown is expected to be the last week.

Trading view has this news, CPI reporting Firday, any surprises from that - Fed rates cuts it might go back again.

April it went down, twice, pulled back, down again, then a month and a bit of sideways consolidating then up to this.

8hr chart first and last 15 min chart (April drop to mid May)

In the short term, why not if the trade tensions ease. Any positive news about the trade deal between US and China will drift Gold lower. News of US government re-opening can also lead Gold lower.

But in the long run, Gold stays in an uptrend imo.

Not till Day timeframe, day timeframe dominates gold, its got to pull back on day, go down again and break, weeks away from that.
