Overview of the ACD Killzone Strategy
The ACD trading strategy is a well-established breakout method that performs exceptionally well in volatile market conditions. When combined with Killzones, the strategy's effectiveness is amplified. The indicator is designed to operate during specific high-volume trading windows:
- Asia Killzone: 23:00 to 03:55 UTC
- London Killzone: 07:00 to 09:55 UTC
- New York Morning Killzone: 14:30 to 16:55 UTC
Bullish Setup Signal Conditions
A bullish trend signal is generated when the price breaks above the A up line within a Killzone. For instance, on a 5-minute Gold (XAUUSD) chart, a breakout above the A up line during the Asia Killzone can signal an impending uptrend. After a 7-minute confirmation, a trader can confidently enter a buy position.
- Take-Profit and Stop-Loss for Buy Trades: A stop-loss is placed below the A down line, and a take-profit is set using a Reward to Risk ratio of 1.
Bearish Setup Signal Conditions
Conversely, a bearish trend signal is triggered when the price breaks below the A down line within a Killzone. For example, a breakout below the A down line on a 5-minute West Texas Intermediate (WTI) chart during the London Killzone can indicate a potential downtrend. A 7-minute confirmation below the line allows for entry into a sell trade.
- Take-Profit and Stop-Loss for Sell Trades: The stop-loss is positioned above the A up line, and the take-profit is also set with a Reward to Risk ratio of 1.
