Dear Mathony, if we look at the chart I shared specifically, the first two transactions are trend-sell and the emas confirm the trend. In other transactions, the emas showed their direction as buy and I opened the transactions as buy. I don't see an error here. As I mentioned in previous posts, I only look at 1-minute charts. I'm not getting confirmation on the upper time charts. In short, after Ema determines the direction, cuts the zero point of the signal line, I take transactions according to the structure of the price and then risk management. Price movement is everything.

Watch for price retracement before entering the trade. In your losing trade, try to buy after the signal line drops below zero and crosses back up again. Thus, your losses will be less.

No problem, I'm sorry, and thanks for the explanation. I'm also just looking at the 1-minute TF right now, and our trades today are similar—thanks for sharing.

You were really lucky—but it triggered my stop-loss twice. They could have waited 5–10 minutes before releasing that news. No gains or losses so far today—hopefully there’ll still be a good opportunity.

But it’ll be better to wait until the market calms down...

I’m really thinking about whether I should focus only on the Asian and London sessions and skip the afternoon session. Based on my experience so far, the New York session just doesn’t suit me—I have no idea why. On the other hand, it’s true that during the Asian session and at the start of the London session, there usually aren’t many news releases until noon, and the market isn’t as wildly volatile.

What about you? Do you trade all day, or do you focus on a specific session?

This is the TV setup using Nova.

I entered because I saw price sweep the london low and we had break of structure.

When price pulled back to the EMA I entered but I had a feeling what would come next.

Anywhoooo - below is the nova entry which hit 2R and then instantly pulled back lol

I know your message wasn't directed to me but a good time to look for entries if trading gold is after 8.20AM EST time.

That is when comex gold futures opens and instantly price will seek liquidity which today was the london low.

That's how I knew I could buy on that last trade.

Well, today it was mainly Turkey that caused a stir, as it's considering selling its gold reserves due to the war in Iran.

I know this might sound crazy but if you really want to be able to get really good entries at the start of a trend check out the 15second chart

Below is the M1 and you can see when price was reversing at london low right?

Well check out this - you can trade nova with it too xD

Much easier to see the fractal nature of the market and get in earlier.

Of course it's what would happen if you use even lower timeframes but I think this is going to make nova even more powerful for me as I never really looked below the M1

The difference between 15s & M1 using the first proper nova signal.

15s is just extremely early of course but the difference in RR is great.

Yeah I'm gonna play around with it and see how it does.

If its all good then I think I'm going to use it for my execution timeframe.

Its perfect for the EMA flip entry that I like because sometimes the EMA flip can fail on the M1 but by the time the M1 fails the 15S will already look like a full trend xD

However, if you want to trade on a 15-second time frame, you’ll probably have to use futures. With prop firms, which mostly offer CFDs, the spread on 15-second contracts is likely to be quite high.

Or do you think not? I know you wrote something here about testing 5x 200k acc.

Yeah currently I trade on my personal which is IC Markets Raw.

Spread is minimal on gold but yeah futures is the way to go!

IC Markets is a good broker; I used to have an account with them too. But right now I’m trying out prop firms.

I agree, I mostly trade 8-12 CET and try to wrap up. I find the price moves less crazy volatile (more predictable) and less stress in this session. Also news are limited. (I trade futures).
