Hi Friends Good afternoon,

This week after breakout upside gold is not coming down for any correction and i am not able to find any trade

today i entered for buy trade @ 3330 with tp between 3360 to 3370

here is my chart

Don't be surprise if 3561 not reach in the next 4H news beeing used to that and after mitigation sink again.
Wait for that 1H candle to close and then i feel we will have a good day... In a range is between 3545/3546.
I am waching if a break happen before news.

strong support around 3525 zone (my yellow line)

expecting a pre-news run up to 3555, 3567 zone potentially

hope its a good day! lots of news to look forward to, ADP expected to come in negative, as is unemployment claims slightly, lets deal with those first then focus on the later data..

if we have a positive news shock, will look to sell to 3512 session low OR/and 3525

Not sure how you guys feel about Covid, WEF, Blackrock and whether we live in a democracy or not.. but, knowledge is power n all that. Better to know than be surprised.

anyone else think gold will just continue to rise ?

NFP gives the clear picture.
Expect Gold to sell on ADP (Trap traders on the wrong side)

Probability for NFP was given yesterday in beige book.

As i mentioned before, Soft data vs Hard data.
No more engagement as from today.

considering thats all its ever done since its existence, i dont see why not, technically all it does is rise... but we trade intra day so we pay more attention to dips and 'downtrends' and what not, but imagine if you bought some physical gold 5 years ago as an investment, youd be quite happy now, as would be someone in another 5 years imo!

thanks for insight, but naturally it would have dumped, so it looks right, no? as last ADP figures came in at 104k above expected 77k on 30 July last

If my SL is taken I will reenter after the data no point tying down to a direction if data goes the opposite way

The problem with retail traders, they want to trade every swing, every pullback and every tick, which basically we cannt unless algo trade, which 90% of the time, prove to be ineffective in all market environment, as the instruction to code the rule of execution differs from market environment.


What we ought to do, is to position. For those who day trade, may be worried about ADP for today. But we also have Trade bal and ISM.

But from Risk:reward perspective, and stretch of price dispersion, everyone eyes the NFP.
So Imp Vol is focused on NFP, that should be our focus too, to not be trapped on the wrong side of the market.

Else we will be like someone who is an active market participant since 2012, yet she only watched market unfolds to ATH, while she is not on the ride. And continously betting against the swing/trend.
Thought on this??
We are NOT market markers to profit from spread, volatility is what bring the money. Not Liquidity.
We need to position for NFP using other data and events to determine the probability where prices will push for NFP.

WHy that?
Trading career is divided into 3 simple stages:
Learning
Surviving
Growing.

Tho the knowledge we absorbed may required some adjust to reflect market flexibility, but it should not change our underlying foundation of our strategy.

Only after that part, we can level up from Surviving to Growing.
Why? Because eventually we will be doing the same thing as we did to survive, expect for now, our size, our drawdown management and/or patient to execute and to hold onto, refined.

If a bit technical you's asked,
i see 3492 first then to 3778 by the next 2 week.
Using Bad NFP to position for the Up tick CPI. Creating stagflation
