I have said it over and over again... fundamentals will only come to support what the technical is saying.
Ceasefire might mean a buy for some, while others will see it as an opportunity to sell.
The best thing is to get a reversal or continuation pattern well bacdktestd with favorable probability on your side. Just trade it anytime you see it on the chart. Wether there is news or not.

I'm new to trading and I focus mainly on GOLD and STEP INDEX

So I noticed that the gold market is closed right and it's not even weekend yet

Why is that?

SL set at a tight 2625 so far the news of the ceasefire hasn’t had any impact unlike yesterday when just the talk of it helped it drop hard

I believe the market "closes" for an hour between 10pm-11pm (UTC/GMT).
After that the market re-opens.
As we speak/write, the market is open now.
