There are many good scalpers here and many that would like to become good scalpers.

I do quite a bit of successful scalping and I like to scalp Gold mostly.

I will share one of my main scalping techniques that I use on Gold, along with the indicators and template for any who would like to try. This technique will work on most any pair.

This thread is for other scalpers to share a technique they like to use that is successful -- there are so many it seems!

Without really commenting on this, I like to keep an eye on support and resistance zones and pivot points along with S1, S2, R1, R2 -- so I have this on my template. I like the fxr indicators for this, the only pain is that they update the indicator about every month and one has to install the updated indicator or you get an annoying update message on your template. They will probably update them in a couple of days since it will be the beginning of May.

The technique --> wait for a semafor 3 to appear on the 5 minute chart (keep in mind they repaint). Watch the TDI to make sure there is a cross of the green line over/under the red line. Wait for price to "clearly" break above/below the VWAP line. Now enter. Put your stop a little above/below the VWAP. Ride the trade to the next support/resistance or trail your stop or shoot for a certain amount of pips.

See pic for two good trades today on Gold for an example.

Just one technique if you are interested.

Just a note on the VWAP line. When you keep the 5 minute chart (or any time frame) open for a time the VWAP line will "stop". Just switch to a different time frame and then come right back and the VWAP will "update."

I think this is a good trading technique, sometimes I like scalping trading, but the common problem is when lost my patience
scalping sometimes as annoying because several times profit then one loss make vanish all previous profit, maybe need to learn more about scalping

Hi de5151,
Thanks for posting the method. What is the VWAP indicator? Is it some hybrid oscillator (or moving average)?
Thanks.

Please do not treat this question as a attack against your system
but when I put 12 SMA together with 12 VWMA can not see meaningful difference between them...

black is a 12 VWMA
red is 12 SMA

What was a reason to use VWMA then? What kind of advantage we can expect?

Best Regards

No problem. It is VWAP = Volume Weighted Average Price

Here is a short video explaining it. How it matches with some other moving average I do not know.

I'm no expert on this, but there are plenty of volume indicators available for forex trading. So volume stats are coming from somewhere. How it all works I'm not sure.

Hi,
Like many others, it is a strategy that cannot lose a lot or gain a lot, in the long term

Cheers

Yes seems to need refreshing after every single candle, but hopefully google can find a better one.

I think it is very dangerous to scalp metals. Both gold and silver are very prone to sudden violent moves. Just my thoughts. If anyone found a way to scalp effectively, please do share. Thank you.

Gold aggressive scalping! I am using Ema 100 and macd 7,26,9 When the price is above the Ema and macd buy with a tp 10 pips. And when is below sell. The plan is to split your deposit into 5 parts. Minimum recommended deposit is $50 so each day you'll risk $10 Maximum recommended deposit is $500 so each day you'll risk $100 At the end of the day you'll keep the profit from that day. If you will lose the money, you'll wait for the next day. The monthly target is double the risked money.

Isn`t that too risky strategy?
