Which are the online props that really win when we win ? I'm curious to know that because you seem to be very knowledge about that.

I'm siding here kinda with Karl.
A lot of Forex/CFD Prop Firms are shady.

Really good trades are with serious Prop Firms that allow Futures,Options and Stock trading.
If you win, the firm wins for sure. No conflict of interest.

But as i've said before: if you're good, you don't need a firm at all.
You build up your account and make all the money for yourself.

Hi Flipper,

A good point you put forward, but may I add a bit to it?

I think there are several reasons for the alure of Prop Firms, but I see one as being traders are looking for a firm, they can trade with that is not the equivalent to a bucket shop & those NON-Bucket Shop are getting fewer & fewer by the year especially for the USA based traders.

So far, I haven't traveled the Prop Firm Road yet, but giving it some thought as the New Year progresses.

I have always been self-funded & at one point have a private investor & that was a nice setup.

To each his own I say. Your point is well taken though.

Where have I heard The Flipper name before???? Oh I known now.

-My point is, it does not really matter that they were lying in this particular example. They paid their debts, which is the most important thing. Their conditions were tradable. We know already what adjustments were being made and why etc.. Had they been truthful upfront, they still would have been successful because traders still would have traded with them. That is undeniable. Anyone that disagrees with that sentiment is probably delusional.

Companies lie with marketing all of the time in an effort to attract consumers. If MFF are ever allowed to operate again, then I am sure that the powers that be will require them to be truthful with their wording next time.

As for people being contentious, I think most here just do not really care. The few that do, seem to be holding on to something (maybe they couldn't succeed with MFF?). The rest about arguing semantics just isn't important. Honestly, most just do not care. Anyone that speaks out of their butt-hole will often get a rise out of someone here, but that is because people will see through the BS.

If you truly believe that prop firms and bucket shops have not and do not employ fraudulent tactics then Im not sure what to say to you other than, "would you like to buy some unicorns I have for sale?"

Ive been here for some years now lurking. One thing ive noticed about forexfactory and this thread in particular. Is that its like a gang mentality here if you will of older traders. Im guessing most here are above 50 or even 60. As I recall this forum became less popular with the years but the old dogs kept around since they knew each other since long time as I understand even decades. This and that they are used to talk about forex here makes anything but forex go out of their minds. Since their precious forex trading cannot and will not be tolerated to be anything else. Hence the forum name thats fine to me. Let people stick their head into the sand. But if you want actual trading talk its not here thats for sure.

I warned people here called MFF frauds even before they got shutdown way long before. Of course people really hated what I said. But they might been the best fraudsters who paid out. But still fraud since mislead the public even me with their marketing how it was real cash being traded.
For new people we take it for granted it was real cash. Not some game fun kid coins since again those who are relative new to these prop firms dont expect it to be such a shady nasty industry, which people in this thread actively defend and lick themselves with since they got a few coins from them.

Thats how they value their soul, a few coin payout from a forex fraud prop firm and they become 100% biased and sell their dignity and mind. This thread comments here shows sadly regulations are needed no matter how extreme they are. Since people dont care about any rules and morals as long they gain some from it themselves. Regulators might care also with self interest but futures prop firms"regulated" etc proven to payout even so. In this case regulators win on all fronts showing how human behavior is dangerous.

You want to live in a mad max world? You think thats fun with anarchy no rules? Then move to a country which got least of that and see how fun it is. Hypocrites. Each to their own. I still practice on novel writing here.

Speaking for myself:
1. This is the only topic that I follow closely FF. Why ? Because this is the only place where we can have real and not paid reviews.
Discord, Telegram, Twitter, Youtube or internet are full of "independent" prop reviews. The only detail is that they are independently paid.
Yep, from time to time props show up here with one of their affiliate or employees clowns but those are easy to spot.

2. One of the reasons why this topic is populated by old guys is because old guys are less naïve than youngsters, so less prone to believe in that crap "we win when you win".
We've been saying, for years, that online prop is a videogame industry. We insert coins and, if we are lucky and skilled, the machine drops coins. Those coins come from the loser players, just like a casino.
Noobs tend to believe they are really trading 200K account after passing a challenge that cost less than 1000 USD. Unless they want to be educated, there's nothing we can do against such an ignorance.
And, yes, sometime the machines break, sometimes jam, sometimes are replaced but that's all known. We play by these rules.

To all of the snowflakes complaining about MFF's misleading marketing, were you ever denied a payout from MFF that you rightfully deserved before the CFTC forced them to shutter?

Most of the traders here do not care about the misleading marketing nonsense because it just didn't matter. Traders were still getting paid, and most of us already knew what was really going on behind the scenes and we were okay with it. Is it right to mislead consumers? No. But does it mean that MFF were frauds? No.

For all we know, the whole idea of 'we win, you win' could have been something that someone thought was clever, but had no real meaning or intention behind it, and like most things on their website, were never changed or given more thought about.

Anyone that honestly thought that their trades were actually getting A-booked as soon as they passed a 2-phase challenge that could be completed in a few hours, probably needs to get scammed so that they can learn to not be so naive.

Any talk of gang-mentality here is nonsense. If someone says something stupid or false, then people are likely to call you out on it. If several members seem to be 'ganging up' on you, it is probably because you said something stupid or false, not because you are not in their gang.

This idea of forex-is-king is also nonsense. Many traders here have already made the jump to futures. Anyone with experience knows that you must be willing and able to adapt to market changes, as well as practice risk-mitigation by way of diversification.

What I see here, are a few members that like to make up stories and ideas, for whatever reason, as if saying them, actually makes them true. I see a lot of assumptions and baseless claims being made, seemingly attempting to create an argument out of thin air, hoping that someone will take the bait.

I have been tempted, several times, to put a handful of people on ignore here, simply because most of their contributions provide no value, whatsoever, and are oftentimes either provocative in nature, or, are complete nonsense. I see some people pretending to be experts and talking out of their butt-holes. Some just complain about props and look for every opportunity to call them frauds, and then wonder why their comments are not well-received in a thread that advocates for props.

If what I say offends you, then please put me on ignore; I really do not care.
