-I think, discussion of various regulatory groups, and other alphabet groups, is important, especially if it can be done objectively. There is often very little oversight and accountability with these groups and it is important that the people not only understand the various roles and scope of these groups, but also that they are carrying out their duties with integrity while staying within the lines of the law etc..

This is especially true as we often see so many seemingly-conflicting interests and possible agendas at play. You do not need to be a conspiracy theorist to make such claims, either.

-Sure, but we should also consider what legal grounds the CFTC has to justify their claims, as much of what we saw with these prop firms could have been considered a legal gray area. Perhaps this case will bring some much-needed clarity on the matter. But I never just assume or blindly accept that those that govern are correct, not only in their behavior, but in their reasoning etc..

It is important not only for people to ask questions, but that they get reasonable answers to those questions, especially when the questions are being directed at the elected/appointed officials that are supposed to be serving us.

It is difficult to read some of the recently-made comments here about what is going on with MFF/CFTC. It is always better to remain objective and to let the facts tell the story.

You know who actually stole money.... Refco, Man Financial, MF Global, PFG best & FXCM..... all were massive CFTC regulated brokers, what the hell were they actually regulating?

Last time I was with Oanda they blew out spreads 30-60 pips around reports for damn near 1-2 straight min (<10 sec is normal with FOMC/NFP/CPI releases @ ecn brokers/centralized exchange), again under the watchful eye of the protective CFTC.

Yes, there are only a handful of us (maybe 4-5 in this thread) who actually know what is going on. As I stated, others simply don't know or PREFER to bury their heads in the sand about it.

Yes. Trading only the hours around the london open would suit me best. I tried a lot here but so far couldn’t find anything working for me. Probably tried at least 20 different variations of the London breakout strategy but didn’t find it profitable even over the course of a year and what I need to achieve is consistent profits at the end of a month or quarter at least.

Yes. I know TT and used to watch his videos and live stream nearly 2 years ago but couldn’t really make use of it do build my own working trading plan.

What Tom does is hard to copy and I don’t even want to simply copy signals. I would like to build
my own working plan somehow but just can’t find a way.

I often tried to trade the naked price action but ended up in a mess like over trading, adding to my losses instead of to my winners, having huge losing streaks, wrong position sizing, emotional problems due to the feeling that I am gambling instead of trading a system with a proven positive expectancy and so on.

I trade the same way I always have, which is NOTHING like trader tom.

Only watched his psychology videos. That’s it. Never been to his telegram or watched any of his livestreams

Just for kicks I tried to get one of those free $5K MyFundedFX accounts this morning. (Know nothing about that firm so really didn't care too much.). But the giveaway happens and they give out 300 free accounts in like 15 seconds - about the time I typed in my name and did their screwy captcha system - and alas, missed out. No clue how people enter into these things in less than 15 seconds, I guess the kids have some cheat code going on.

Another thing Ive noticed which I didnt fully understand before when "pro" traders were interviewed is that they always said they dont really have a one strategy or something. To me that made no sense at all then how they could be profitable. But as im doing this grind as I do. Ive tried almost all indicators tbh that exists by now and most traditional systems ofc. Like you just start to solve problems trying to find how each instrument works then its weaknesses. While maintaining your own style you are comfy with and time period or tick and ranges. Also theres a reason why they focus on one instrument the veterans I can tell. You need nothing else but one instrument.

So as I mentioned before this is what helped me once I stopped looking at others or finding strategies. Since its all about rewiring the mind. To solve problems in each instrument. But preferably just one. But that one instrument always constantly changes in cycles so its still alot to solve with just following one instrument and how it changes its rythms. Ive seen now as I backtested manually years back scalping even. That no year is the same for just one instrument.

But instruments do have specific characteristics I noticed and this is what those who life off of trading capitalize on. Also why you wont hear them talk about it since they of course dont want others to know since they spent years honing skills finding out those "tricks". Maybe only family members or even that tbh. Since what they learn and mold their mind with becomes invaluable to them. This is why youtube trading gurus are useless. Anyhow to find those characteristics per instruments does take alot of time to just analyze one instrument and which affects it depending on time of year etc. I know this.

Because I looked at stock market lately after only been trading futures for years problem solving. Then I also realized how I automatically now just look to solve problems without using any strategy at all. Just what time frame I like and simple indicators as tools sometimes to fine tune r understand that stock or instrument whatever . But mainly price actions ofc.

This relates to prop firms, since futures prop firms got a different approach to it than forex prop firms.

Same . this is the problem with "doing what no other prop firm can" Giving away 75k free accounts clearly not good for the server. Great for compliling a mailing list though.

Exactly what they are doing. Once again, lack of common sense.
How does the company benefit from giving away 5K accounts?
They don't , they are just in the business of giving away free stuff to people who will never spend a dime with them, right?
Yet everybody is like, "Oh look, what a great company, they are giving me free accounts"
Lol, kind of reminds me of the US government now that I think about it. They're just nice too, want to give away free stuff.
I just sit back and laugh everyday at the complete lack of intelligenece and common sense of my fellow human beings.
