I am buying on Monday so cannot confirm. At Topstep Discord group i asked and been told is unlimited use. One person on discord said bought 2 so should work i guess.

so which is the rule for who buys 10 for example and pass 10 evals? you can keep the others parked and use at future time correct? they pause the billing.

My problem is not Topstep's limit of 5 contracts, that is more than enough at my max risk of 0.80% per trade during the combine/eval (5 straight losses from initial bal to bust), I would only need 1 mini. It's how they handle micros, once @ express account/scaling plan stage, I would drop the risk down to 0.35% (11-12 straight losses from initial bal to bust) & risk management could become problematic with the way they handle micros.

There is a way. When I visited first time and studied all the rules of TopStep, I was thinking that the unique way to manage the risk if you need to trade just micros is to open 4 micros than when you need more, you have an ES and you close the 4 MES or you arrive to 5 MES and you close 1 MES and open one ES.

At some point you will double your risk, but is the unique way of that limit of 5 lots whatever they are ES or MES.

I will let you know around wednesday how it goes to me, there will be lots of action with the economic data coming in the middle of the week we will test topstep, I will try to manage them with a different style I have in mind.

Also remember that commissions for micros are higher on topstep, so with 1 tick you go in loss and not in profit like in Apex. Just to remind.

A lot of folks not digging deep enough....apex does not charge exchange fees once live. topstep is $116-122 per exchange.....if you trade DOW and NAS, for example, you are $232-244 per month.

they have express funded and live account, they move there only after you got payout and you deal with them for it

so I think there is not this exchange data to pay as professional till that time

also earn2trade do that, and you can opt to don't move in live

Hey Crypto, long time follower of you and many others on here but maybe you can come to a resolution as I would hate to see this thread come to a disagreement forum or who's right or wrong. wait..... is that at the express account stage? I guess they are classifying you as a pro live... non pro data fees are not that crazy.

New to futures here. Just wondering, why Topstep requires you to close all trades at 3:10 PM (CST)? What about Swing or bigger timeframe traders? How can they trade with Topstep with this rule?

I'm taking a prop firm challenge and they're running the demo account on Eightcap, which I'm not really happy about--and I'm already noticing spread markup. (Eightcap had a spread of .11% on a currency pair that I traded and, at the exact same moment, the same pair on TWO other brokers was about .05%.)

I've heard that the crappy brokers use Virtual Dealer Plugins, but I'm wondering is there any check that you can do on the Eightcap skin of MT4 that shows you the existence of the plugin? Is there a .dll I can check for or a file?

To change a little bit the subject from futures back to fx... How is the people's experience with 5ers? A week or 2 ago I remember some were saying that they were getting really bad fills and price manipulation. Did the trading conditions go back to normal?

I paid 149$ activation fee with Topstep. You can have 3 active accounts funded, other are pending, when you fail one you start other funded. If i will be able to withdraw (4 more days with 200$ profit needed) i share what is next. It is not perfect offer. My way of thinking is that i need the lowest entry price, this is my risk. So paying 11$ to have one month opportunity is nothing let's be serious. Other factors after passing challenge are not so important at this moment. We don't have even guarantee that next 2 weeks industry will be there, so why bother.

No, I didn't. But doesn't matter.

The offer is very good for me (and I think for Pipmaster also) and it's crap for you. Not a problem all.
Each one should spend the money wherever they think it's worthwhile.

The "trick" to me is not to consider the full trailing stop (2500) as the max DD but just a part of it. Like 1000 to 1500 on worse scenario.

Same for funded. If funded achieved then we have 1000 or 1500 max DD.

Paying the 50 reset is only worthwhile if a new account cost more than 50, right ?

My thought is: why paying a reset if one can forget that account and start a fresh new one for less than 50.
