XAU Gold Technical Revelations (Secrets Revealed)

I'd like to start this thread with hopes of preaching Gold technical ideas and setups.

I believe that support and resistance has different degrees of strengths based on timeframes, in my charts I color code the different lines I use so I thought it might help if I did a little key in case you you want to know when seeing my charts

Not really, but that's why they are revelations. Besides, I use the phrase more or less to show things that people may not consider when looking at Gold charts though I'm sure others would find it obvious

Unfortunately I don't swing trade, but looking at the 4hr I see a bearish pennant and the longer term trend is bearish so it seems to me it might continue that way

The intraday trend is up for gold, usd is weak for London hours now according to some currency strength meters so the price appears to be ranging. I'm looking to see if price can break out of the range to upside for continuation of the trend above 1801.x during 1hr pre-ny or ny open for longs, bull targets around 1808.x. For shorts, price should break support at 1795 and candles would need to close to confirm new resistance, bear targets towards 1790x.

Looking at DXY dollar index, price looks to be bouncing from a key level which would support gold shorts but I want to wait and see if ny open can break the sup area 90.1x for gold longs

Admittedly, I messed up my first entry closing out early because of fear when my stop was still safe. I shorted when I realised the 5 min emas had bent down but got stoppped out, finally I caught the break but used a little more size to compensate for the losses. DXY seems out of sync but I was at fault for overtrading. I will stop for today with gold
