Hello Everyone,

I am back to Forex Factory & I was wondering which kind of approach to the market is most useful these days. Does anyone have any observations related to it ?

From my experience Technical Analysis will work better on times of market relative stability, Graph Analysis for short term and Fundamental Analysis i really lack experience of , but i believe to be the most valuable in times of market overall instability.

I used to code EAs for MT, But still it was very hard to come up with a stable strategy ... There are many tools that help you carry out those types of analysis. What i look for is a stable percentage return over investment long term. As i know it is in some ways reachable to invest short term. What i mean is over a period of constant change in the market and rapid osculations. Any entry would be better based on a knowledge of the currencies in question ... As i am more invested in technical analysis I find it a bit hard to enter without a basis. So if possible a few opinions on which direction should I start and if it is a good time to invest time for a stable strategy.

Long term charts and fundamentals. If you are short term/technicals you are playing into the hand of the market makers. As long as you know they are smarter than you and can see the same charts/technicals you see... and they can easily manipulate short term charts... trade safe.

If you do not need to chase super high results, and remain calm, then the option of long-term investment in haven currencies, taking into account the fundamental factors, will be the best choice. If you want to test your hand in the medium term, then the current volatility in some currencies will provide a great chance to make more pips using technical analysis.

When you talk Technical, you should specify what do you exactly mean categorically..the technical you usually find on internet or google search can mean nothing to be honest. it takes more effort.

In short term, say <1 month, technical does work. Market will seek for liquidity, and short term movement is about flow.
In long-term however need a bit fundamental guidance. Big money flow forced to follow fundamental, they don't have choice.

Hi. I think the most popular analysis is technical nowadays.
Since it is suitable for making money here and now. For a longer investment fundamental analysis will be better.
Also it will be better to earn on both

Hi in my experience TA has nothing to do with making money that depends entirely on the trader.
You can make a good analysis and still lose money, because techical analysis does not consider the stop loss clusters, the news manipulations, the brokers practices etc etc etc

Just an opinion.

With any analysis, you can lose money. This is forex and there is no 100% way to make money. Losses are an integral part of profits. Otherwise, everyone would be rich. TA helps to focus on the current price and the one was in the past. Thereby, assuming a future price. I didn't say TA is a 100% profit opportunity. Analysis is still more a trader's tool than a way to make money. And it depends on the trader which tool to use.

I am not saying technical analysis is crap, because it's useful when timing entries and putting stop-losses but any technical analysis will fail if there's no fundamentals backing it. Without any fundamental analysis, technical analysis will only work 35-40% of the time. I am not making it up, i have actually seen these stats on my Ctrader account when i was a newbie.

Bro I don't know which timeframe you are trading, but I am generally using D1 and swing-trading. So fundamentals are the most important since i hold my trades for weeks and even months. Of course someone who trades smaller timeframes may find fundamentals slow and not helpful. So it depends on the trading style. Fun fact i don't really believe in daytrading or scalping but every man for himself, who am I to judge
