It's being computed from a basket trading all Forex pairs. In my application. he basket itself isn't being traded to generate profit. The computations are being done on the basket as it's being built intraday.

I just made an interesting observation that I think would be helpful to share. Since GBP and EUR were expected to be weak on the 27th, and correct me if I'm wrong but the CHF is mostly considered a strong currency, then trading CHF vs GBP and EUR ...
Determining Intraday Currency Strength or Weakness

Based on what was logged for the 27th (Friday), EUR and GBP are both expected to move downwards on the currency strength indicator same day or next day, which in this case, the next day would be Saturday but I'm guessing we will see it as possibly a ...

GBP (the while curve) became weak on the 27th as was expected. EUR weakness was captured on the 27th which means it's expected to become week either on the same day or next day. I'm not sure how this will translate over the weekend but let's see ...

What I meant is it doesn’t really matter if the market’s choppy, trending, correcting, or just ranging. The real problem is the method being used. If the method isn’t solid, it’s going to struggle no matter what the price is doing… which is probably ...
Why do they say that trends don't work?
- HeyYa replied Jul 25, 2025
Trends, ranges, any kind of market can work. What doesn’t work is the trader or the method they’re using. Like you said in your first post, use logic. From what I’ve seen, the more complicated the analysis or process gets, the harder it is to be ...

The setup actually started back here and already hit target yesterday. But I’ve seen plenty of times where price comes back and hits target again. Looks like that’s not happening this time. For these current trades, I probably won’t wait for it to ...

There's been reports of traders working together to hedge across different prop firms. PipFarm did an undercover investigation and found a group of about 800 traders doing this. I guess their strategy was to have a lot of prop firm accounts and take ...

One advantage of prop firms is the size of the account and the set drawdown limits, which let’s you have a larger DD. So a 1000:1 IC Markets isn’t really the same as a 100:1 FTMO. Even though you can open the same number of trades, let’s say 0.10 ...

It also depends on if you’re compounding by percentage or by a fixed amount. So, if you’re trading 0.10 per trade for every 5K, you’d need to wait until account reaches 5K before increasing lot size. It’s also possible to add smaller amounts, like ...

Anybody with 50-200K USD and a WiFi connection could be running their own prop firm in about 4-6 weeks.

I'm not using grid trading. I don’t place trades at fixed intervals, so it’s not a grid system. I place both buy and sell trades on the same pair, but it’s not direct hedging or cross hedging either. The issue is, some prop firms don’t use ...
