I'm curious about this as well. I'd like to know before I go through the process of opening a live account.

My original thought, which had nothing to do with my situation, was that there will be non-US brokers (good or not, regulated or not), and perhaps a few non-US banks from what I've read, that have decided or will decide to close US accounts this ...

I'm not sure about that. Are you suggesting that a regulated offshore broker (British or Swiss for instance) that holds US accounts will be permitted by the regulatory body of its home country to ignore its own regulations because the account holder ...

From everything I've read, the CFTC might not have as much power/influence as it would like us to believe, especially when it comes to offshore companies. Regardless of this, I'm sure that many non-US brokers already have a plan in place as far as ...

Matlock--Since you live in Finland, do you have any insight as far as the FIN-FSA? FinFX doesn't appear to be registered (not required but...).

Have you tried to withdraw funds yet? Do you know if client accounts are protected by EU regs. and Finnish law? I spoke with someone from FinFX and was told that client accounts are segregated.

I've been using the demo and haven't experienced any problems. Spreads are small, execution is decent, etc. Earlier in the thread aceofspades said that he had signed up for a live ECN account. Maybe he'll add an update.

Thanks for the info. My interest in ACM is based on the outcome of the case against them by MXBK (not guilty), the resignation/firing of two of the three founders/owners, and the purchase of ACM by SwissQuote Bank in October. I thought that someone ...
