Thank you Peter, yes it makes sense to hold longer for trends and less for contrarian trends (which for some reason I get greedy and normally get burnt).

I know a lot of people mark up SR lines by looking at past history and marking areas where price turns. I still haven't mastered this and to tell you the truth I'm not sure what to look out for when I did this. Occasionally I will leave a level up ...

My two cents, sure if everyone is trading at the same signal then there'll be pressure in you favour, but this would attract a lot of attention, namely the dreaded stop head hunters. That's why systems don't work imho.
