EF5 replied Sep 26, 2019I think those results are pretty respectable. At the end of the day, if you made 3,500 trades and you’re ahead then you’re doing much better than most. 3 years is good too, it took me about 6 years to finally start making money.

EF5 replied Sep 26, 2019I’ve also been forecasting gold to go to 1,450 and still believe it will. It’s in a bull market, but needs a little retrace like you said... The US-China trade talks are coming up and that might be the catalyst it needs to take get to either end of ...

EF5 replied Sep 26, 2019You make a good point. It’s difficult to understand why oil would be trading where it was prior to the Saudi attack when there is so much geopolitical tension now. However, the fact oil couldn’t muster a better rally seems very bearish. If this is ...

EF5 replied Sep 25, 2019I actually like renko charts a lot for system building. They're great for trend following since they won't result in bad trades during trendless periods.

EF5 replied Sep 24, 2019I wasn't expecting this rally in gold, but I'm still expecting it to go to the 1450 area before making a new high. Here's a 4 hour chart and admittedly it looks pretty bullish: image As I've said many times, gold is highly correlated to bonds and ...

EF5 replied Sep 24, 2019That's an interesting point you make. Its normal to see physics and computer science PhDs in the markets, but someone with a background in meteorology could do really well too. I can imagine modeling a hurricane's path probably isn't too dissimilar ...

EF5 replied Sep 23, 2019That sounds plausible, but I think it would be an atypical sequence of events. Usually equities falling doesn't hurt housing too much. In fact, the tech bust proved to be a tailwind for housing when the fed lowered rates to support the economy. ...

EF5 replied Sep 21, 2019I have a theory on that this strategy may only work for a medium timeframe like 15m-1h. The issue I see with daily is you run the risk of holding the position too long and the futures contracts may simply expire with the spread then the next month ...
