Metallurgy you could always have the woman in your life wear it instead. There are the obvious earrings, bracelets etc or you could get a little crazy with it.

BTW If you are buying coins/bars for long term storage make sure you use protection (air tite cases are currently my favorite). Coin prophylactics are not as simple as you would think. I found a good reference page recently. Hopefully it helps you ...

Thanks but I guess what I was wondering is if there is fundamental reasoning behind it? I usually think of gold as risk off and Eur/usd as risk on.

The fact that there is a possibility of a rate cut sets up some opportunity for gold longs. If the Fed implements a cut returns could start to pile up. I’ll only be taking on long positions here and there for awhile as the setups present themselves 😄

Thanks for the info Ric. I see your point about why people want to stay away from copper. Personally I still find it interesting. Markets are so intertwined that learning about an instrument is always valuable even if you don’t trade it often.

Agree, but I think even if your horizon is 1 week or a few days you could be fine. It is more the intraday guys that need to watch out. We probably have to see how things settle tonight into tomorrow morning to look past profit taking before jumping ...
