Two objectives here not just one. 1. Save lives (could be yours) 2. Beat the virus. The sooner achieved the smaller the problems. This guy is buying into bigger problems than otherwise, putting shackles around the legs of his country.

Looks like some people believe that #2 is unimportant which flies in the face of the evidence so far. Countries which succeed first will strengthen first - in health and in economic momentum, repairing supply lines globally and taking advantage of cheap prices, with obvious competitive edges emerging different than from before. So its becoming a global competition to see who will emerge and be strong. Looks like China may be leading now but probably too early. NZD and AUD ones to watch for longer term.
