The world woke up Monday to the reality that the coronavirus epidemic is going to have a much bigger impact on the global economy than investors and policy makers had assumed. Just how big, no one really knows. Last week, it seemed as if financial markets believed that COVID-19 would be contained. But new cases in Italy, South Korea and Iran over the weekend undermined that belief. The World Health Organization tried to reassure the public on Monday, saying the disease was not yet a pandemic because it was not spreading in an uncontained way. They can contain the virus and they can create vaccine based on data from survivors. They just deliberately wait until is almost too late. The world population will be reduced by 20 to 30% if not 100%. Mostly old and sick people with a weak immune system will die. This means basically no retired people thus no spendings for paying pension money. No more seriously sick people. All cancer will die as cancer rely on failed functions of the immune system. Mostly young and strong people will survive only. This will clean up the population of the earth, provided there will be survivals.

Ones the virus reaches the developing countries, the result will be devastating and casualties enormous.

In the civilized part of the world the situation will be not much better. The stores will be soon empty. No schools, no jobs, no transportation. The business and productions will stop. After the private storages of food and other consumptive are empty, people will start stealing and consume whatever stands in their way. This will trigger new outburst of viruses and bacteria some of them unknown to us as off yet.

The picture of the future is very dark. I am usually a big optimist, but right now I am more realist than optimist.

I have but I don't think that you have if you believe in all those conspiracy theories. Do you think that "they" also created the black death or the Spanish flu? How about cancer and all the other illnesses we die of? Now wait a minute, how come "they allowed people to invent penicillin, polio vaccine or any other medicines curing people? Strange isn't it?

It will take about a year to get a vaccine produced for this virus but it might be too late.

No, "they" - whoever that may be - can't. A vaccine cannot be INTELLIGENTLY DESIGNED, the complexity of the immune response is way beyond what the state of the art of science is. In a few centuries, maybe.

All vaccines are discovered by trial and error. Of course scientists have an idea what kind of biological entity
has a good chance as a vaccine candidate (and for that some data from survivors actually might help in principle, but in practice a lot less than one might think). Experiments on mice or rabbits (rabbits produce a lot more blood but are more expensive to raise) are then carried out with a vaccine candidate derived from the pathogen but NOT the real living pathogen (dead one is actually a great choice unless it is stuff like HIV or Ebola where it is considered too risky).

By the time things move to human and the real pathogen (clinical trials), the biological system has changed so much, failure is the rule. For some very wily viruses like HIV and Hepatitis C, hundreds of vaccine candidates derived by very wide range of approaches have all failed.

What can work in principle could be bleeding survivors, purifying the active antibody from their blood, then using it as a biological drug (like in a certain recent movie where a bunch of teens were running in tunnels chased by zombies). Of course it is inefficient, illegal and extremely expensive.

Obviously you are NotATrader, certainly also NotAbiologist.

Note the word you used - DATA - as opposed to the approach I described, which involves taking an actual material entity out, but not DATA, and that molecular entity would be used as a drug but not a vaccine. Clearly you know nothing about the matter of viruses and vaccines yet you sow wild conspiracy theories left right and centre, in clear violation of the forum policies to boot. There is nothing related to trading or economic aspects of this affair in that post. Some hazy apocalyptic drivel does not count as such.
