Have you ever wondered what the BEST moving average is? I’ll show you in this video. A lot traders “guess” what the best moving average is. Some say it’s the 26 exponential moving average, some say it’s the 200 simple moving average, others say it’s the 50 simple moving average. Other traders say it’s the 50 and 200 simple moving average crossover. Still, others say that there is no “best” moving average setting. So what’s the answer? What is the best moving average? Or is there even a “best”? Let me show you. I ran some Python code...

When price and MA creates a huge gap, that's when a correction/retracement can possibly happen. I've seen it plenty of times looking at charts. This also happens when the angle of MA is too steep. You can almost always expect price will return to MA or the average. But you don't rely on them of course. It's price action that drives MA's and other indicators not the other way around. MA's just helps you interpret what price is doing or where it's moving. And since they're plotted on the main chart you will be able to focus on price action because MA's move along with price. Just my two cents.

I can see how that would be beneficial. But why not just use the Volume indicator for that? Keep in mind that price doesn't always return to the MA. With the Volume indicator, you can better detect weakness.

Moving average is great tool for me. After 3 year I get them know. They just need their own set of rule and small MA can be use lake trend direction tool for day trading. I use flew of them and nothing else matter. They are lagging but on math principle are SOUND.

The traders that use a MAs, indicators - macd, xyz etc.. are doing everything they can to avoid learning price action. Would you rather see a movie yourself or hear 5 different reviews from your friends?

I prefer to have knowledge from multi-areas of the market. If it is slowing your trading, put it on paper or bookmark the tabs. I read every day before I make a single bet. Knowledge is power. Once you know everything, your the biggest idiot of all. No single trader can know all the knowledge. Pick out the main points and move on as long as they dont mess with your trades. Abount once a year I will think I am really getting this down to a science. After a 5k loss day....i think maybe not...
