Saudi energy minister says oil production will be fully back online by end of September

The comments came during a press conference by Saudi Arabia’s energy minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman. The world’s largest crude oil processing facility and heartbeat of Saudi Arabia’s energy industry was targeted in drone attacks early Saturday morning that knocked out half of the OPEC kingpin’s production capacity. Abqaiq in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern province and the nearby Khurais oil field, Saudi Arabia’s second-largest, suffered fire damage on Saturday that shut shut out 5.7 million barrels of daily crude production. That represents 50% of the kingdom’s oil output, or 5% of global oil production. ... (full story)

Yeah that was quick, but I am not surprised since this is basically all they do, it's their thing..
Markets still aren't fully convinced, but more so, the future problems are priced-in, for now..
We'll have to wait how they will calm the future (market)... Some good defence?

It's never a done deal till it's a done deal. The guidance noises have been sufficient to provide the markets with a high level of expactation that will be the case. IF they don't do it that's the time to expect solid volatility unless they give solid guidance that it will happen next time. Even then volatility will happen. Bond markets have it pretty much completely priced in...

I don't know. This might be a reaction to activities in the high court today, and written assurances (??? didn't quite catch what all that was about) being sought? My eye is off Cable/Brexit for now. I'm sure there are great opportunities going, but right now I'm looking at SPX futures and US Treasuries futures with FOMC coming into view...
